B.Pharmacy Examination details

Here is a list of must’s for students to be able to take B.Pharmacy Exam, they are as follows,

  • Students with 80% attendance and who took both theory and practical classes separately are eligible for the exam
  • The Theory exam is slotted for 3 hours and the Practical exam is slotted for 4 hours
  • The practical exam will also consist of Viva
  • Students have to secure 50% marks for separately for both theory and practical exams
  • Students have to clear all papers in the annual exam to be promoted to the next academic year
  • After successfully clearing the exam the students will be handed Certificate by the examining authority approved by the Pharmaceutical Council of India.

B.Pharmacy Admission Process

B.Pharmacy admission mostly takes place through various entrance examinations. The entrance examinations are followed by a personal interview round. Thereafter students choose colleges according to their scores in B.Pharmacy examination.

B.Pharmacy Eligibility

There are a list of eligibility criteria that students have to clear before they apply for admission, they are as follows,

  • B Pharmacy Eligibility is that students should have cleared their 10+2 examinations with 50% and with mandatory subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and English
  • Students who have cleared 10+2 from non-formal based schools such as NIOS and state based open schooling are not eligible for this course
  • Students should complete 17 years of age before 31st December of the year of admission to the Pharma college
  • Students who have cleared B Pharmacy entrance examinations like MET, BITSAT, JEE, KCET are eligible for this course

B.Pharmacy Admission 2021

  • Admission to B.Pharmacy is done primarily on the basis of a candidate’s performance in the entrance examination.
  • Colleges like Amity University takes admission on the basis of marks obtained in class 12th (Science)
  • Lateral admission is offered to students who have D.Pharmacy (Diploma in pharmacy) qualifications. Lateral admissions allow students to enter a B.Pharmacy course in the 2nd year, thus completing the course in 3 years instead of 4 years.

B.Pharmacy Entrance Exams

To get through a good institute/college for pursuing B.Pharmacy, students have to sit for various entrance exams.

PU CET 2021: Punjab University Common Entrance Examination, is one of the most sought after B.Pharmacy entrance exams. Conducted by Punjab University, Chandigarh, PU CET registrations would start from October, 2021. 

BITSAT 2021: It is a national level entrance examination that provides admission across all BITS campuses

MET 2021: This is an entrance test conducted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), i also known as Manipal Entrance Test

KCET: Kerala Common Entrance Test offers admission across all colleges in Kerala.
