It's a govt, sponsored college for that reason the study cost is low . The reservation student get scolarship from college and student union. This year TCC comes to our college and contacts our principal, principal sir contact us they took a test of ours and around 100 students get jobs at the TCS.

Campus Life :

Our campus is so big. There are 3 buildings on our college campus. when students took admission to the college the student union threw a great freshers party for all students. But in dept. we also arrange freshers party & also a farewell party. We also arrange teachers' day in dept.

Placement Experience :

In semester 6 students are eligible for the campusing. TCS, AMAZON, CAPZAMINI come to our college for student mainly the computer science student get the job. I have no idea about the package. After my graduation, I took admission to the MSC.

Campus Life :

ECC is a good Christian college and it is having a school upto class 12. There is alot of books and journals in the library and for the extracurricular course, they organised a sports meet for student overall development. Many social groups are made that helps in the transformation of student personality development.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The quality of teaching and atmosphere of learning is very good, I choose this course because I have taken medication in class 11. Exams were held semester wise and the Exam level is intermediate which you can pass after having core knowledge of the subject.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure for a year for B.Sc Botany is Rs 27000 and the cost of the study is affordable. The scholarship is based on merit. The fee hike is not an issue because a free hike doesn't occur. Job placement is not well on the campus for my course.

Placement Experience :

Around 80% of students are placed in B.Sc. The highest package was around 11 lacs and the lowest was 2.6 Lacs per annum in B.Sc. Top recruiters come to our college, including Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Delloite, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. The average package is around 3.6 Lacs. Many students got jobs at Amazon, Flipkart, and in many more top companies. So overal placement is good. Internships are provided to each and every student in our college as AICTE made regulations regarding compulsory internships. Many students are senior developers at Amazon Flipkart like companies (Off-Campus). My plan is to get placed through college placement only.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Yes, teachers are helpful and qualified enough to teach B.Sc and science to students. And their teaching standards is excellent. That's why you can choose this course. They teach with the help of smart labs and modern methodologies to help students understand the concepts at ease. There are almost 1 faculty per 60 students for one subject and the course curriculum is similar to many other colleges, so yes it makes students industry-ready. And term exams are very timely and question standard. It is just above average and you can score higher in it by studying regularly.

Campus Life :

There are two fests namely Vassaunt, (cultural fest) and samavesh (technical Fest). These are the best thing about your college life which falls in the month of February and March. Yes, books are always available in the library, and of course any kind of books you wish. It has Excellent provision for sports & extracurricular activities. There are many clubs and groups by students. There is a Yoga club, Souls club for singing and dancing, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I preferred B.Sc Botany cause I want to be a Botanist. The teaching staff of Botany is really good and highly qualified. All of the teachers are sincere in their work. All teachers are experienced and have good qualifications. Most of the teachers have completed their Ph.D. in the respective field. Teachers really look into students and solve their doubts. Also in this online teaching era, the teaching is very understandable and really good. Term exams are conducted twice and as the college is Autonomous so they have their own portion. They also conduct internal assessment exams for revision.

Placement Experience :

The college has created a placement cell for the students. You can see the companies like Capgemini, Infosys, L&T infotech, TCS, Coppergate visit the college for placements. They have diffrent activities regarding this job placement like Career Fair VISTAS, Personality Development, CV writing, Personal Interview, career planning, and career mapping sessions. Course Curriculum Overview :

The syllabus is a little outdated and sometimes was way too less. Except a few professors, the others did only what they had to do according to the syllabus. That is why I think, for a lot of reasons, the faculties should not follow the clerical method of teaching and try to give everything they can to the students. Education has to be challenging and that was not the case in our college.

Campus Life :

The college is excellent in sports. There are two basketball courts, one badminton court, separate table tennis courts for boys and girls, a football field (outside campus), a volleyball court and a gym. WiFi does not work at times but that is a general problem for Shillong. The library is big and it has a lot of books. The labs are well stocked with equipments and are of the top quality.

College Events :

The college organises a lot of events throughout the year. Fresher's and Farewell, Yearly Photo day, huge Independence Day celebrations and the 7 days themed College week are some of the worth mentioning ones. Apart from that there are debates, quizzed and MUNs throughout the entire years.
