Ans. IGNOU is a national open university that offers open, distance, and online modes of education. The institute is approved by NCTE and AICTE. It carries out most of its evaluations via self-assessment, assignments, and term-end examinations. The following points discuss certain parameters that one should know, before deciding to pursue a B. Sc degree at the institute. Eligibility: The institute offers a B.Sc (general) degree program for a duration of 3 to 6 years. Students need to have a 10+2 equivalent in science or related field in order to qualify for the program. It charges a total course fee of INR 12,500. This fee is exclusive of the registration and examination fee. Course structure: Students can choose any three from a variety of disciplines that include botany, chemistry, zoology, geography, geology, mathematics, and physics.
