Ques. Is it easy to score 95%+ at Presidency University, Bangalore for a BTech in CSE in all semesters and also do many projects, competitions, hackathons, internships, research publications, and startups?

● Top Answer By Komal Chawla on 17 Jun 21

Ans. In terms of percentile, you can surely score 99%+. There will always be a conventional topper from every batch even if everyone performs poorly in their academics.  You will find many students securing a 10/10 CGPA from good institutes as they follow relative grading.  If someone secures 60/150 while most of their classmates are struggling to score even 30, the professor could decide to give them an ‘A’ which is not even similar to scoring 100% marks.  But, in absolute terms, no, you can’t imagine someone scoring about 95% in almost every semester they appeared as it will directly imply the college holds a very low bar for evaluation.  The Presidency University, Bangalore gives marks for showing up and just for filling up the pages in exams. Thus it is not such a big problem.Read more

Ques. How is your experience at medicaps university Indore BTech(CSE)?

● Top Answer By Riya Bose on 16 Jun 21

Ans. One of my friends is a pass out from Medi-Caps University Indore and she had a very nice experience. With the interaction I had with her, here are some of the insights she shared with me that might be helpful: The infrastructure of the overall college is good but the classes are not well maintained. The library has a huge variety of many fictional and non-fictional books.  The University’s computer center is equipped with more than 800 computers and has a Wi-Fi speed of 100 Mbps. The University has a gym including a variety of machines and different types of equipment. Like free-weights, resistance machines, etc The campus has an open-air canteen. Food is hygienic and of good quality. It functions even after college hours. The university has laboratories, equipped with high-end hardware and software. Categories B.Tech CSE at Medicaps Indore Course Fee 4.85 lakh Placement Percentage 90% Highest CTC 15-20 LPA Average CTC 4 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, Infosys, Wipro, MindTree, Capgemini, etc. Discipline is a very important aspect of Medicaps, all students are advised to maintain decorum in the university. Classes are held regularly and most of the faculty members are very knowledgeable and student-friendly. It is known to be one of the best colleges for Btech in Madhya Pradesh. She had a wonderful experience there.Read more

Ques. How are CGC Landran CSE placements?

● Top Answer By Sikhsha Roy on 15 Jun 21

Ans. I have a few friends at CGC and I heard good things about the institute from them. It is well-known for offering good placements and a decent academic environment.  CGC conducts prior pre-placement training, where you will be taught how to handle interviews for the recruiting companies.  Companies that approach the institutes, come along with their own personal criteria. Many companies set the required score range of 60%, 70% or even 80%.  Major recruiters at the placement drive are Amazon, Wipro, Microsoft, Cognizant, HCL, Deloitte, IBM, Maruti, Hyundai, etc. The highest CTC offered to the students according to the recent placement statistics is 35 LPA. If you are want to secure a placement offer, try to master at least one computer language program. The competition gets intense when the number of students is 250+.  The institute conducts extra classes. These classes are about HR, group discussions, etc. Here, you will be given placement papers targeting certain companies by the teachers. At the weekend, you will be handed over modules and questions that concern that specific company. Read more

Ques. Should I join MANIT (NIT Bhopal) Chemical Engineering while I get CSE at IIIT Sri city? I've no particular inclination towards any branch.

● Top Answer By Ankita Sinha on 15 Jun 21

Ans. Why do you want to opt for engineering? Is it because you enjoy Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics? If that’s the reason, then there are two possibilities for you.  Joining IIIT Sri City for CSE- You can sharpen your coding skills and work better on Computer Science learning more about ethical hacking, cybersecurity, etc. This is how CSE would prove to be fruitful to you.  But if we perceive the other side of the situation, if you do not hold any interest here, you might find it hard to cope with and eventually lose interest. Since IIIT Sri City is a new college, it will not be able to impart the essential communication/soft skills to you. Joining Chemical Engineering at MANIT Bhopal- Apart from developing a great interest in Chemical Engineering, you have the opportunities to either go for higher education via GRE or ensure placement via GATE.  But again, comparing the other side of the situation, if Chemical Engineering does not spark your interest, you can go for other domains like Management. MANIT offers all the adequate communication/soft skills that would be essential for that. If you have no particular inclination, then choosing CSE may be better. As it has two domains, i.e. coding and non-coding. Plus, the internet is full of great ebooks and tutorials to teach you. Read more

Campus Life :

The campus is literally the best! They offer everything from sports to cultural activity clubs and even self development classes. The campus has a large sports arena, horse riding field and yoga classes. There are multiple cultural clubs and technical societies, even social service clubs. The library is huge! We even get a website where we can check if a particular book is available in the library or not. They send us emails informing us about the days left for re-issuing the book. The labs and classrooms are well equipped.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is a scholarship given to students who have a good rank in JEE, scored great in Boards, or get a rank in Mody University's entrance exam. The scholarship continues throughout the course of the degree if the Cgpa is maintained above 8.0. The fee they charge for the course really meets up the expectations. They prepare you enough to sit and crack most of the exams. The campus placements get amazing companies and great packages. The support and guidance from the placement cell are appreciable.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose CSE with a specialisation in Big Data Analytics because it is in collaboration with IBM which provides industrial level training. The faculty here is amazing, they are interactive, are available, and helps in every aspect. The teaching method here is Project Based Learning for all the laboratory subjects and the timely evaluation makes it even better. Each semester has 2 exams; mid term and end term examination. The internals constitutes 10% of the evaluation process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Choose this course to learn python coding, the teacher to student ratio feels like its too much as 1 teacher cannot handle 67 students at a time. The faculty is good and teaching methods are also good but the students cannot ask their doubts one on one as there are other students also in the meet exams were easy to pass

Campus Life :

The life at the campus life and clubs and infrastructure can only be experienced after the passing of the coronavirus pandemic as now I only have online classes pertaining to the above question, sports, and extracurricular activities also have been put on halt.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee structure was okay as per the market trend but i feel it is a bit too much for only online classes , not yet got scholarship as it is not applicable for me as i am only a 1st year student and dont have the above yet

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is very expensive as the college takes 1.6 lakhs for a semester and their are 8 semesters for btech guys. And overall the college costs a student around 16 lakhs rupees. And not only that the student also have to bear the hostels charges which is around 1.30-1.50 lakhs rupees per year. So overall cost for a student to complete their undergraduate degree is around 20-24 lakh rupees.

Placement Experience :

The placement and the job opportunities are very good and almost every student gets a chance to sit in the placement who are skilled and have acquired a certain number of GPA in their years.Their overall CV is checked and after several rounds of group discussion and interview if the companies find a student fit they are offered a good amount of package.

Exam Structure :

The exam structure is very good and progressive. We have online tests every fortnight and continues evaluation is done on the basis of class performance and tutorial marks. The college also helds a mid semester and and end semester examination which are all pen and paper based examination in the basis of which we are assigned GPA.

Faculty :

The faculty of my college are awoseme. In othe way if i want to describe my college faculty then they are the perfect professionals and the best friends also. When there is the time to study they behave like the professional and when there is time to enjoy they behave like friends.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees of my college is little bit high it is been not affordable by the people who are poor. But for the students who are poor there are other options like scholarship and loan also so that all should get admission in college and thus people are taking admission in my college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course whcih is been provided by the college is good and the time to time test taken by the college repeat the course every month thus due to this every student would have a chance every month to get revision of the previous cource due to which there is no chance to fail.

Placement Experience :

The placements are from the 4th year but as in the as mentioned in the brochure of the day told us that IBM company also recruits from the college butter as per 223 past reports we have seen that IBM company is not coming to recruit any students the average package of the student is from 400000 and the maximum package is 10 lakh rupees the percentage of students getting placed our 100% because of all the college most of the students go abroad and my clan is a farm getting a proper package I will do job orders and go for masters in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The demand in the future is going to hike. The faculty students ratio is around 1 faculty is to 30 students. But during the lectures, the ratio goes to 1:60 and in this pandemic, the ratio has boosted to 1:120. The qualification of all the teacher's is very High but failed to communicate with the students at a point. There are three exams in one semester. There are 3 examinations, Mid-semester 1, Mid-semester 2 and University examination.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

To be frank the fee is average to all the other colleges. As I was out of state student I was not eligible for any scholarships. And the management is not responding to the enquiries of the students regarding the scholarship of out of state student. I had asked them in the first year now I am in my third year still no response. I have still not received any job.
