Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) with specialization in Electronics & Nanotechnology is an undergraduate degree program which is of 4 years. This course can be done after 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Admission to this course is done through any of entrance exams conducted at national and state level. Average tuition fees for this course ranges from Rs. 2 to 4 Lakhs in Public institutes and 4 to 7 lakhs in Private Institutes.

This course provides us the knowledge about data which is based atomic and molecular scale and as well as electronics systems. After completing this course students will be able to understand nano magnetic technology, nano advance technology along with the use of electronics.
This course is about gaining knowledge exposure of electronic items along with the nanotechnology which is helpful in developing the conventional electronics and skills required for modern Nano scale device fabrication. Students will be able to understand nano scale electronic devices, optoelectronics, nanofabrication and latest innovative experiments related to nano technology.
Candidates who have interest in bioscience, medical sector and electronic sector with the some experimental aspects can opt for this course. There are mixture of skills required to do this course as it has double specialty one is electronics engineering and nano technology. Duration of this course is 4 years containing 8 semesters at the gap of every six months. Students have to complete the course in maximum seven years.

Admission to this course is generally done via two modes- direct admission or entrance test. Following are the both modes described-
Direct admission: Some institutes offer direct admission to this course on the basis of merit list. Merit list is based on marks in qualifying exam i.e. 10+2. Colleges also have some reserved seats for management quota, for which admission is generally higher than others.
Entrance Exam: To get admission in this course there are various entrance examinations at state and national level out of which JEE (Main) is the most popular examination for which students aspire to attempt. There are several other state level and private engineering entrance exams such as BITSAT, MHTCET, WBJEE, UPSEE, IPUCET, SRMJEE, VITEEE etc. which are conducted for B.Tech. admissions.
Exam pattern of the entrance test is given below:
JEE (Main)- Exam consists of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Exam is conducted in April month in both online and offline modes.
BITSAT- BITSAT is conducted by BITS Pilani for admissions in BITS and all its campuses. This test is conducted in online mode in May.
MHCET- This test is conducted for admissions in engineering colleges of Maharashtra.
UPSEE- This test is conducted for admissions in engineering colleges of Uttar Pradesh.

To get selected in this course candidates need to attempt entrance test and on the basis of marks obtained they will get shortlisted for group discussion and after that for personal interview which is to judge the overall skills and abilities of candidate for the final selection in particular college or institution.
In direct admission mode also they will be shortlisted on the merit basis and after that called for interview for the final assessment of capabilities.
