Students can start the CFP preparation after completing Class 12, subject to FPSB India's enrolment conditions. However, graduation and relevant professional experience are required at the certification stage. The regular pathway uses self-paced or instructor-led education followed by 3 specialist examinations, such as

  • Myth: Completing CFP guarantees a high-paying financial-planning job.
  • Fact: CFP can support careers in financial planning, wealth management, investment and related BFSI functions, but salary depends on role, experience, employer, location, skills and professional responsibilities. CFP certification itself does not guarantee a particular salary or placement.
