    The Master in Management Studies or  MMS admission process is merit based while some colleges are also known to conduct their own qualifying entrance examination in order to select deserving students. 

    • Once the candidate qualifies the entrance examination he/she will be called then for final selection (G.D and Interview) on the basis of their entrance test marks.
    • MHCET is the most common entrance test for MMS programs since most of the colleges are located in Maharashtra. The candidates who pass the doorway exam need to attend group discussions or interview as a part of the choice process.

    • The basic eligibility criteria for master in management studies is Graduation in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university
    • Final year Graduation candidates are also eligible to apply for MMS. They have to submit proof of completion of Graduation degree within the duration specified by the institute
    • Generally the institutes follow the minimum score criteria in Graduation fixed by the AICTE which is 50% or equivalent. The minimum score is 45% in aggregate for reserved candidates.

    Students after pursuing MMS usually go for jobs, but PhD can also be taken up if there is keen interest in doing research in the interested field of specialization.  

    To pursue a PhD, the eligibility criteria include 50% or more marks in the post-graduation and students are also required to take up an entrance exam. It takes 3 years to complete a PhD course after MMS.

    Ans. Maharashtra CET for MBA/MMS or MAH-CET is a common entrance exam for admission to state level management institutes. The exam is held in March and the counselling process is conducted in July-September.
