Ques. Which PGDM is better, IMI in New Delhi or TAPMI?

● Top Answer By Anil Tigga on 22 Apr 21

Ans. Talking about colleges such as IMI Delhi and TAPMI, both are good colleges and with decent placements. But to start with, the factor must be noted when comes across whenever such questions are asked. These questions are not complete without stating your work experience, your expectations from an MBA, the major you are looking for, and all those stuff. I’m sure you’ll get the drift. But to give you an overview, IMI Delhi is a bit obvious above TAPMI in all the rankings you’ll see around you. Honestly speaking, one of my cousins being a student of TAPMI, said, IMI is a notch above TAPMI, eventually. There will be companies coming to IMI; you will not be getting in TAPMI and vice-versa. Particulars IMI DELHI TAPMI NIRF Ranking (Overall) 28 27 Fees 17.15 Lacs 15 Lacs Companies TATA Motors, Vedanta, Wipro, Amazon, Google, Infosys, Dell, and many Deloitte, Grant Thornton, HDFC, ICICI, EY, Magic bricks and many. Highest Package INR 22 LPA INR 25 LPA One cannot treat the placement report on the basis of companies visiting the respective campuses. The placement figures are CRISIL certified and TAPMI above all looks forward to providing world-class education by a rigorous curriculum unmatched in the industry, no other student of colleges in the same league can even think of living in. Few aspects about the campus of TAPMI are as follows: It is not a typical B-school where you can hang out and do easy peasy. Life is quite tough here. The institution is strict about every detailed aspect. You won’t get easy holidays for a home visit. You won’t get to bunk classes and indulge in activities. You will be certain about the education and hard work, which will make your investment worth it.  Under the guidance of the faculties and facilities; you’ll be staying on a wonderful campus and your personal expenses won’t go to the zenith. Placements will not even be an issue once you actually acquire the skills and caliber. You will be getting ample opportunities in every field of every kind. The faculties are highly experienced and with adept industry experience.Read more

Ques. How are MBA placements in NIT Trichy?

● Top Answer By Kiran Chugh on 22 Apr 21

Ans. As my friend was a part of the 2013-15 batch, DoMs-NIT Trichy, the structure is quite known to me.  They have a decent placement that is almost 100% placements are provided by NIT Trichy and except 3-4 students, everyone gets placed.  The fees of NIT Trichy are also reasonable as it is a government college.  The average package provided by the Institute is of 6 LPA while the highest package rose to 8.5 LPA.  Some of the major recruiting companies for MBA students at DoMs NIT Trichy are Aricent, Microsoft, PepsiCo, etc.  So, the conclusion is that if you are confused about the placements in NIT Trichy, don't think twice as it provides decent packages.Read more

Ques. Can I switch from manufacturing to finance after an MBA from colleges such as XIMB, IMT, etc.?

● Top Answer By Rishikesh Kumar on 21 Apr 21

Ans. Many employees want to switch from manufacturing to finance but it is considerably difficult to switch from manufacturing to finance as both of them are completely different fields and don't have much in common.  You have to do very deep research about both these fields and gain a lot of knowledge about them in order to be successful. They have to put in a lot of hard work and efforts and also should be really interested in finance.  Many people pursue MBA after working for a few years to change their career options to finance hoping to get better opportunities while many also pursue CFA levels to increase their knowledge and expertise in the finance world. Getting this certification can be very helpful for switching to finance and get better job opportunities there. But this is just a gateway to be eligible for switching your career, but the end results will always depend on you.  You have to do a lot of hard work and gain knowledge and expertise in the fields to make yourself worth the job. You must be fully prepared and confident enough to get selected for the job.Read more
