Although national-level management entrance tests are kind of an obligatory necessity for admission to an MBA course, renowned institutes like the Bennett University, Noida and Amity University allow entry to the course without any admission test. These b-schools are also known for their activeness and efficiency in placing successful graduates into fortune-500 companies.

Note: although some institutions allow students to be exempted from national level entrance tests, they may ask for an additional group discussion and/or personal interview round. 

  • GD/PI - personal interview section of IIM selection carries a total weightage of 24 out of 50. Whereas, the total CAT score of a candidate holds 15. This shows the importance of PI rounds in the selection process. One of the best preparation tips to ace GD and Personal Interview rounds is to stay updated with what’s happening around the globe. Not just national issues, but their impact on the economy and businesses.

Note: some institutions like IIM Calcutta do not organize a group discussion round but sessions of personal interview.
