Ques. Is Alliance University good for a PGDM? Are all the management issues sorted now? How are the placements as of now? How good is the ROI?

● Top Answer By Revaansh Khurana on 23 Jul 21

Ans. Alliance University Bangalore now offers an MBA instead of the earlier DGDM degree through its two schools; Alliance School of Business and Alliance Ascent College. Make sure first which one you are applying to. Alliance University once used to be one of the best management institutes in Bangalore but now has lost its credibility among the students due to various reasons.  As for the placements, it is still decent according to the latest reports of the institute. For the year 2020, the university reported the highest salary and the average salary of the MBA programs to be INR 22.6 lakhs per annum and INR 7.6 lakhs per annum respectively. The fee structure for MBA at both the schools at Alliance University is given in the table below – Particulars Alliance School of Business Alliance Ascent College Tuition Fee INR 13.50 lakhs INR 9 lakhs Registration Fee INR 50,000 INR 50,000 The university offers hostel accommodation and charges INR 81,000 and INR 96,000 for double occupancy and single occupancy rooms respectively for 6 months at its Central Campus. When looking at the fee, the Return on Investment (ROI) does not look great. Many other universities will provide better exposure.Read more

Ques. Which college is good for MBA, Nirma University, Symbiosis Pune or Narsee Monjee Mumbai?

● Top Answer By Ketaki Sircar on 17 Jul 21

Ans. It's not fair to put Nirma into the same category as NMIMS Mumbai and Symbiosis Pune. First and foremost, as many other students have remarked. As one of my friends studied at NMIMS, I would suggest you go for it. Since under the SIU banner you did not name a particular college, I assume it is SIBM Pune.  The principal reason NMIMS scored over SIBM is its advantageous placement in Mumbai's financial centre.  It's an hour and a half drive from commercial and industrial areas like the Bandra Kurla Centre, Southern Mumbai, and Navi Mumbai. This allows students to go to high-profile companies such as SEBI, TOI, and JPMC for industrial trips. Since NMIMS has more than 500 batch sizes, it continues to produce better average packages from other institutes in the same league.  The reputation and connection that NMIMS enjoys to the industry is a testimonial.  Categories Nirma University SIBM Pune NMIMS Mumbai Course Fee 10.04 lakh 19.22 lakh 6.04 lakh Highest CTC 12 LPA 28 LPA 13-15 LPA Average CTC 8.5 LPA 16 LPA 8-10 LPA Recruiting Companies Zydus, Adani, Kotak, Axis Bank, etc. Mindtree, Crisil, HSBC, Asian Paints, etc. Berger, ICICI Bank, CitiBank, Hindustan Unilever, etc. Over the years, NMIMS has demonstrated its success at national and international competitions. Some of the events in which our students have fared better with all the participants from the above-stated institutions include RB Mavericks, HUL Carpe Diem, and SABMiller's Brew-a-career.Read more
