    Eligibility Of the Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Electronics Engineering)

    The minimum eligibility for admission to the course is a B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering or graduation in electronics and a valid GATE Score in EC.

    While most colleges require having 60% marks in B.E/B.Tech. plus a valid Gate Score for candidates qualifying for the further entrance exams, universities like Punjab Engineering College University of Technology, Chandigarh requires 60% in B.E/B.Tech with GATE for direct admission.

    How to Get Admission in Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Electronics Engineering)

    Admission to M.Tech (Electronics Engineering) is available in selected colleges in India. Although most colleges have a strict entrance exam policy for the selected list of candidates possessing 60% in academics and a valid score of GATE, Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai gives admission to candidates with or without GATE if they qualify the common entrance test.

    Direct Admission

    There is no direct admission in M.Tech. (Electronics Engineering) in most of the colleges, yet Punjab Engineering College University of Technology, Chandigarh provides direct admission to the candidates to the GATE qualified candidates. Most of the colleges like Bharati Vidyapeeth University require two years full-time working experience for admission. The admission forms are available in the month of May/June after the results of B.Tech. are declared.

    Entrance Examination

    The forms for entrance examinations are also available in the months of May and June and the exam is ideally conducted in the month of June/July.  Students are only considered for an entrance test if they possess 60% in Graduation and qualifying score in GATE. The entrance test is of 2-3 hours duration and contains objective type questions from the electronics engineering subjects at Undergraduate levels. Students are assessed on the basis of their performance in the entrance test and are further called up for the interview.
