    Master of Technology in Food Biotechnology or M.Tech. Food Biotechnology is a post-graduate engineering program which introduces the use of biotechnology as a branch of science in the food industry. Biotechnology is a branch of science which can be used for food preservation, measuring its nutritional value and keeping a check on preservatives. It can also be used on crops so as to reduce the usage of pesticides and insecticides in food. This is a 2 years course divided into 4 semesters which means 2 semesters per year.

    The eligibility to pursue this course is to have a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree (10+2+4) with minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institution. The average tuition fee varies from around 30,000 INR to 80,000 INR per semester.
