AIPMT 2016 Form Correction

The All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Test 2016 is scheduled on May 01, 2016. The AIPMT 2016 Application Form can be rectified online on a specified date set up by the CBSE. The rectification of few selective fields is applicable and few fields are prohibited. The candidates tend to make mistakes while uploading or mentioning few details in the application form this is why CBSE offers them to rectify few mistakes in the application form. The candidates must remember the credentials received i.e. Registration and Password to carry out the corrections. The online form correction criteria commences from February 15, 2016 (10:00 am.) and ends on February 20, 2016 (11:59 pm).

One Time Correction

The candidates appearing for AIPMT 2016 can only avail this facility of form correction as announced by the CBSE in their latest notification. The candidates receive a chance to rectify few mistakes for just one time which should be done carefully. The corrections can be made by visiting the official website . The information that can be rectified once are:

  • Date of Birth
  • State Codes of Eligibility
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Disability Status

Points to consider

  • Any other field cannot be corrected other than the above mentioned fields as they won’t affect the candidature and the merit.
  • The candidates must carefully correct the mistakes made as there won’t be a second chance for rectification.
  • The candidates may print the correction slip for their record after making the corrections.
  • Due to correction in Category, if additional fee is payable, the same shall be remitted through Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking during the given period only.

Steps to Correct the Application Form

The AIPMT 2016 Form Correction Process can be done on the AIPMT official website on the scheduled date. The following steps are carried out to carry out the form correction process:

  • Log in to the official website of AIPMT using your registration ID and Password as received during the application form fill up.
  • Check the details mentioned in the application form and verify it against your official documents.
  • If you find any entry incorrect then rectify the mentioned detail.
  • The details that can be rectified are date of birth, gender, category, state codes of eligibility and disability status.
  • If in case the images uploaded during the submission of the application are incorrect or require any corrections then these can also be rectified.
  • Verify and check every detail cautiously before submitting them.
  • After finishing the corrections and verifying click on SUBMIT button.
  • If there is any additional fee to be paid that can also be carried out through Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking during the scheduled time period only.
  • Once the corrections are made, print the correction slip for your record.

Image Correction

Any correction pertaining to the photograph, signature and right hand index finger impression are being intimated through email and SMS and the same will be available in the candidate’s login account. Other corrections are not permissible, therefore, ensure submission of correct data.

The few guidelines or important information about the image correction announced by the CBSE are as follows:

  • As observed by the CBSE the candidates tend to upload the images at wrong places or the size of the images uploaded of the Signature/Photograph/Right hand Index Finger Impression is inappropriate which makes them unclear.
  • Accordingly all the three types of images uploaded by the candidates are being checked by the CBSE and wherever discrepancy or deviation from required standards is being observed, the applicant will be sent an SMS and e-mail to this effect on the registered mobile number and e-mail ID of the candidate concerned. 
  • Such candidates need to upload the changed/fresh scanned Image as per communication by logging into their account on the AIPMT website
  • The candidates are therefore advised to check their accounts on regular basis for doing the needful in the scheduled time period.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Q.1. What should I do if there is a spelling mistake in the name of candidate, father and/or mother?

Ans. The correction has not been permitted as candidates placed in merit will submit their original mark sheet/pass certificate with the correct spelling. The personal details cannot be edited during the form correction process as announced by the CBSE in their latest notification about the form correction process.

Q.2. Wish to change the mobile number and e-mail ID given in the application form, can that be done?

Ans. These changes are not allowed as this is linked to the user ID and password of the candidate’s account. Candidates those have mentioned incorrect mobile number or e-mail ID may remain in touch with AIPMT website to get the latest information issued by the CBSE as they might not be getting information through SMS or e-mail. Q.3. What can be done if I wish to change the photograph, signature or index finger print impression?

Ans. CBSE is verifying the quality of photograph, signature and index finger print impression. In case, if anything is not found suitable, only the related candidate is informed through SMS and e-mail ID to upload the correct photograph, signature or index finger print impression as the case may be. The candidate is requested to upload a clearly scanned recent photograph and clear images of the signature or right hand index finger impression to avoid any discrepancy.

Q.4. In place of index finger print impression, impression of thumb has been uploaded, can I change it?

Ans. CBSE has accepted the thumb impression and thus change is not allowed. The candidature of such candidates will not be cancelled and they will be allowed to appear in the AIPMT Examination. So you need not find it to be a discrepancy or it shall not create any problem. If in case you wish to do it you can visit the official website of the AIPMT and check the notification as to when the form correction schedule is occurring and you can carry out the change by uploading a clear image of the corrected document.

Q.5. What should I do if I have wrongly mentioned the information that can debarred me from the examination?

Ans. Candidature of such candidates will not be cancelled in case it is found that they have not been debarred by CBSE from appearing in AIPMT Examination in earlier years. If in case any discrepancy is found or any ill record that the candidate shall not be allowed to give the examination.

Q.6. Fee has been paid twice through debit/credit card. When will excess fee be refunded?

Ans. This kind of refund is made in auto mode similarly as is being done in case of railway reservation. Concerned banks will verify and refund the fee automatically in the same account from which fee has been paid.

Q.7. I have mistakenly uploaded a photograph with no name of the candidate and date of photograph in the application form, what can be done?  

Ans. The photograph which is to be uploaded in the application form does not require name of the candidate and date of photograph. Also, if any candidate has uploaded the photograph having name and date of photograph, the same will also be accepted. But name and date of photograph is must on the photograph to be carried to the examination center on the day of examination affixed on the proforma or the confirmation page of the application form.

Q.8. I wish to choose English as medium but wrongly Hindi has been chosen. Now wish to change the medium.

Ans. In such cases, no change is allowed. However, the Hindi medium paper will be bilingual meaning thereby it will be both in Hindi and English.

Q.9. I wish to change the Examination Centre City. Can I do that?

Ans. No change is allowed once the choice of the center city has been submitted.

Q.10. What should I do if I have filled in the wrong qualification code?

Qualification code once submitted is not allowed to be changed as it makes no effect on the eligibility of the candidate for the AIPMT Examination. This doesnot affect the eligibility or candidature of the candidate.
