AIPVT 2020 COUNSELLING
NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
AIPVT (The All India Pre Veterinary Test) is an annual exam conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences (B.V.Sc.) and Animal Husbandry (A.H.) courses. AIPVT is scheduled for May 14, 2019.The successful candidates would qualify for AIPVT 2019 Counselling. The counselling is expected to start in the first or second week of June-2019, after the declaration of result.
AIPVT Result was announced by the Veterinary Council of India on June 20, 2019. All the qualified candidates are now gearing up for the AIPVT 2019 Counselling. Candidates will be called for counselling as per the merit list. Candidates should attend the counselling in person with AIPVT Admit Card all the other mandatory documents.
The seat allotment and counselling for AIPVT 2019 would be done on the basis of Merit list prepared by the Veterinary Council of India. The list is prepared by evaluating the score of candidates in AIPVT 2019. Some of the main steps are discussed in detail below.
CHECK AIPVT Merit list
The AIPVT 2019 Result was declared by VCI on June 20, 2019. It wwas made available on the Council’s website in form of AIPVT 2019 Score Card. Resluts are now available on the website and candidates can download & take a print out for all subsequent processes.

Admission will be offered on the basis of score obtained by the candidate and rank secured in the merit list. VCI shall prepare a merit list as well as a waiting list for candidates on the basis of the scores obtained in the entrance test.
VCI will prepare two separate two lists (Merit List and Waiting List) on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in AIPVT 2019. These two lists are meant for counselling and allotment of seats under 15% All India Quota Seats. Veterinary Council of India would be responsible for calculating
A separate state wise merit is also be prepared by VCI for each participating state based upon the state code of eligibility and domicile state filled in by the candidate during AIPVT Application Process and also the AIPVT 2019 score.
The participating states are going to prepare their individual ranking based on the All India/State wise merit list of candidates of AIPVT 2019 and the other criteria determined by them.
Note: The council is not going to prepare separate merit lists for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.The seat allotment would be done through the centralized merit lists of VCI and Respective participating universities.

The VCI will follow a tie-breaking procedure in case of equal marks scored by two or more candidates. The inter-se merit of these candidates will be determined in the order of preference as described below

Once the results have been declared, the schedule for counselling will be uploaded on the official website. The counselling for B.V.Sc and A.H programmes for the shortlisted candidates is likely to be conducted in the month of July-2019 by a committee constituted by the VCI.

Counselling for seats under 15% All India Quota
Counselling would be conducted by a Counselling Committee and the decision of Committee would be final and abiding. Candidates will have to appear in person for counselling, on stipulated date and time at the allotted centers. The failure to do could lead to forfeiture of the claim to the seat under 15% All India quota.

The list of candidates who appeared for the exam and who qualified for counselling in 2016 is mentioned below. The candidates in the merit list and waiting list together form the total number of candidates qualified for counselling.
The seats would be allotted on the basis of seniority in merit and seats available in a particular Veterinary College at the time and date of allotment.
All the selected candidates would be provided Allocation letter on completion of counselling. Candidates cannot change seats once allocated to them. There is no separate provision for re-counselling.

Counselling for seats other than 15% All India Quota
Candidates seeking admission in Participating States for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H Course for filling State Quota seats (other than 15% All India Quota) in the Veterinary Colleges should contact the concerned authorities. The admission would be done on the basis of merit list of AIPVT 2019.
They are advised to remain in touch with the authorities of participating States and visit their websites regularly.
AIPVT 2019 Counselling will be conducted as per the category rank (UR/SC/ST/UR PH/SC PH/ST PH) only and the seats will be allotted to the candidates as per the 2200/3200-point Reservation Roster.
Given below is the reservation of seats in the veterinary colleges under the 15% All India quota:
Note: It is important to note that reservation will be applicable to the castes mentioned in the Central list of SC/ST/OBC. Thus, OBC candidates from creamy layer do not come under the Central list of OBC and shall be considered under the UR category only.

The counselling for OBC candidates will be done along with the candidates of the UR category. Also, the SC/ST candidates who do not wish to take admission in their respective category can participate in counselling with the UR and the OBC category.
Candidates participating in AIPVT 2019 Counselling Procedure are required to carry a list of documents in original along with one set of attested photocopy of the same for verification. The failure to carry any of the documents could lead to disqualification of the candidature.

Candidates seeking reservation/relaxation under different categories are also required to bring the following certificates in original:
The language of the same should be Hindi or English only. In case the certificate is in a regional language then the same should be translated in either Hindi or English, attested by a Class I Gazetted Officer. The sub-caste should also be clearly mentioned in the certificate.
The sub-caste list should match with the central list of OBC. Also, the OBC candidate should not belong to the creamy layer.
The candidate has to be present in-person before the Medical Board. The latest valid disability certificate issued from a Medical Board should not be more than three months old from the date of submitting his/her certificate for disabled candidates. The format of the Locomotor Disability Certificate to be produced is given in Appendix X.
The selected candidates should report for admission at the allotted veterinary college immediately from the date of counselling or as directed by the concerned authority and submit the joining report.

In case a candidate fails to join his/her college within the notified time period, the seat allocated to him/her shall be forfeited and no claim thereof shall be considered. There would be no relaxation in this matter, under any circumstance.
