AP EDCET 2027: Detailed Exam Pattern

The AP EDCET question paper is divided into three parts. Part A covers General English (25 questions). Part B covers General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude (25 questions). Part C is your subject-specific methodology section (100 questions). The 120-minute time limit is shared — there are no individual part timers. Each correct answer earns 1 mark; wrong answers earn zero.

Note: The 120-minute time window is shared across all three parts. You manage your own time — no clock restarts between parts.

AP EDCET Marking Scheme 2027

AP EDCET 2027 uses a simple +1 / 0 marking scheme. Every correct answer earns 1 mark. Wrong answers and unattempted questions both score zero — there is no negative marking. If you mark two options for the same question, it is treated as incorrect and earns zero marks.

The absence of negative marking makes AP EDCET different from exams like JEE Main or NEET. You have nothing to lose by attempting every question — even an educated guess is worth making.

AP EDCET Question Types 2027

AP EDCET 2027 consists entirely of objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question provides four answer options, of which exactly one is correct. There are no numerical, descriptive, passage-based, or assertion-reason question types in the official pattern.

All 150 questions in AP EDCET 2027 are objective MCQs — no subjective, numerical, or multi-select answers are required.

You mark your answers on an OMR sheet using a blue or black ballpoint pen. Do not use pencil or gel pens on the OMR sheet. Fill each bubble firmly and completely — partial fills or stray marks may be misread by the scanner. If you mark two bubbles for the same question, the answer is treated as wrong and earns zero marks.

AP EDCET Exam Pattern: Changes in 2027 vs Previous Year

The AP EDCET pattern has remained structurally stable across multiple years. No changes in total questions, total marks, part-wise distribution, or the marking scheme were introduced between the 2025 and 2026 cycles. How to Prepare Based on AP EDCET Exam Pattern

The AP EDCET pattern gives you clear preparation priorities. Part C alone carries 100 of the 150 marks — your performance there largely determines your rank. Build your study plan around the structure below.

1. Put Part C first in your schedule. It carries 67% of total marks. Allocate at least 60% of your preparation time to your chosen methodology subject using degree-level textbooks and the official APSCHE syllabus PDF.
2. Target full marks in Part A. General English — 25 questions, 25 marks. Scoring near-full here is realistic with focused grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension practice at the undergraduate level.
3. Stay current for Part B GK (15 marks). Read national and state-level news for the three months before the exam. Focus on Andhra Pradesh affairs, education policy, and science-technology developments.
4. Revise Teaching Aptitude concepts from Part B (10 marks). Study learning theories, classroom management strategies, assessment types, and teaching methods from standard B.Ed entrance guides.
5. Attempt all 150 questions — no exceptions. There is no negative marking. Leaving a question blank is a guaranteed loss of 1 mark. An educated guess is always worth making.
6. Simulate real exam conditions with mock papers. You have 48 seconds per question on average. Practice full 120-minute sessions using past AP EDCET papers to build the stamina and pacing you need on exam day.
7. Focus on OMR accuracy during practice. Incorrectly filled or ambiguous OMR bubbles cannot be corrected at the centre. Practise bubble-filling neatly and completely — use a ballpoint pen, not gel or pencil.
