    May 26, 2020: BSEB Class 10 results announced. 

    Bihar Class 10th Result 2020 has been declared on May 26, 2020 at 12:30 pm by the Bihar Education Minister. Candidates can check class 10th result by visiting the official website or from the direct link given below. Bihar Board matric result was scheduled to be declared by the end of March 2020 but was postponed due to COVID-19 Outbreak. In order to have access for class 10th result, candidates are requested to follow the official websites of Bihar Board i.e. and

    • Himanshu Raj secured 96.2% marks and come up as BSEB Class 10th topper 2020. This year, the overall passing percentage has been reduced to 80.59%.
    • Bihar board Class 10th  application for scrutiny/rechecking was commenced from May 29, 2020. Candidates who are unsatisfied with their results could apply for scrutiny till June 12, 2020.
    • Candidates could apply for rechecking/scrutiny from May 08 to May 25 for Bihar Board Exam Class 12th results. 

    Bihar School Education Board is a statutory body founded to conduct examinations at the secondary and senior secondary level of education in both government and private schools; under section 3 of Bihar School Examination Act 1952.The board also carries out departmental examinations such as Diploma in Physical Education, Teachers Eligibility Test, etc.

    Bihar Board Admit Card 2020

    Bihar Board Application Process:

    Bihar Board has extended the last date to register for class 12th board exam 2021. Regular as well as private candidates can register for the exam from August 22, 2020 to August 25, 2020. Also if any candidate wants to edit the appliction form the it can be done online. The board has requested the guardians to take proper care of form correction and payment. Earlier, the last date of registration was January 5, 2020 for class 12 but it has been extended due to the irregularities caused by pandemic. The payment shall be made including the last fine. The application fees for different category are as follows:

    • For candidates who passed class 10 from Bihar Board- (a) 470.00 INR for regular candidates (b) 870.00 INR for private candidates
    • For candidates who passed class 10 from other Board- (a) 720.00 INR for regular candidates (b) 1120.00 INR for private candidates

    Bihar Board Admit Card 2020

    The admit card/hall ticket is an important document that candidates must carry with themselves on the day of each examination. It is issued by the board officials around 1 month prior to the commencement of examination.

    • Class 10 Bihar board admit card has been released on January 10, 2020.

    • Class 12 Bihar board admit card has been released on January 17, 2020.

    • The admit card contains important information related to the exam such as subjects you are appearing for, exam centre details, school name, and other instructions. 

    • Bihar Board admit card will be available for download from the official website once released. 

    • Respective school heads must download the hall ticket on the behalf of students.

    • Students must collect the hall ticket from the school authorities on the scheduled date and time.

    • Candidates must verify all details mentioned in the admit card. In case there is an error, contact your school heads and get it corrected at earliest.

    Below given are the steps to check board exam results:

    • Fill in all the details with your hall ticket number. 
    • Click on submit. 
    • Download your result. 

    Bihar Board 2020: Marking Scheme

    Candidates must score more than 30% marks in theory and more than 40% marks in practical in order to pass the board examination. If a candidate is unable to score more than the required percentage in theory or practical, he/she will be considered failed in the board. The divisional cutoff is as follows:

    Bihar Board 2020: Criteria for Grace Marks

    Students will be awarded grace marks if:

    • He/she needs less than 8% marks to pass in one subject.
    • He/she needs less than 4% marks to pass in two subjects.
    • A student has 75% aggregate marks but needs less than 10% to pass in one subject.

    What After Class 10th Result?

    After the announcement of board result candidates can apply for intermediate course. The candidates who wants to pursue intermediate in any stream from Bihar board can apply at OFSS portal. The online application form is required to be submitted at OFSS(Online Facilitation System for Students) portal in order to take admission in intermediate course. The first cut off list for OFSS class 11 admissions will be released on the official website on August 7, 2020. The candidates whose names will be on merit list have to enroll themselves in their preferred streams between August 7, 2020 to 12 August, 2020. The board will also release a second merit list and the dates for the same will be announced later.

    Bihar Board: Exam Day Guidelines

    Bihar Board: Exam Day Guidelines for Students

    • Students must enter the examination center latest by 9:20 am for the morning shift and at 1:35 pm for second shift.
    • Wearing shoe-stocking is strictly prohibited in the examination center.
    • A student can only take the admit card and pen to the center.
    • Use of calculator, mobile phone and(or) any electronic gadget is not allowed in the center.
    • Use of whitener, eraser, nail, blade, etc. on OMR or answer sheet will declare them invalid.
    • All the examination centers are under CCTV surveillance, so avoid cheating.
