Ques. Which is better: JEE or BITSAT?

● Top Answer By Aniket Atul Mahulikar on 20 Jan 21

Ans. Both JEE and BITSAT are competitive entrances and comparing the two is not a good decision. Instead, try to focus on understanding the basics and concepts since the syllabus for the two entrances is pretty much the same. If you prepare religiously for JEE Advanced then you will be able to ace all engineering entrance exams including JEE Main and BITSAT. The table given below gives a brief comparison of the exams: Exam JEE Advanced BITSAT Mode of Exam Computer-based Test Computer-based Test Duration 3 Hours 3 Hours Type of Questions Multiple Choice Questions, Numerical Aptitude Questions Multiple Choice Questions Negative Marking Yes Yes  Syllabus Physics, Chemistry, Maths Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English and Logical Reasoning  JEE Preparation: JEE Advanced paper includes questions primarily from Physics, Chemistry and Maths, thus, try to give these topics enough time and practice.  While it is best to focus on JEE Advanced, it is equally important to prepare for BITSAT since the exam syllabus contains not only Physics, Chemistry, and Maths but also English and Logical Reasoning. BITSAT Preparation: Cracking BITSAT is all about technique and speed so try to practice online mock tests, previous year papers, and cover topics like English and Logical Reasoning to score better in the exams.  You should devote at least 3 months to BITSAT, three months are enough if you have a clear understanding of your basics and a strong foundation. Try not to compare the two exams; instead, focus on clearing your basics with the aim of cracking JEE Advanced so that you can score well in both JEE and BITSAT.Read more

Ques. How tough is VITEEE as compared to BITSAT?

● Top Answer By Akanksha Gupta on 20 Jan 21

Ans. VITEE is conducted by VIT University, Vellore for admission to undergraduate engineering courses annually. While BITSAT is conducted by BITS Pilani for admissions to integrated undergraduate programs. BITSAT is way tougher and competitive than VITEEE, for the following reasons. Comparison: The BITSAT entrance exam is held annually and has a vast syllabus. The questions in BITSAT are tougher and tricker. The marking scheme contains negative marking. Every year over 3 lakh candidates appear for BITSAT which makes the exam far more competitive. The University offers a total of 2000 seats. There are no provisions for reservations in BITs. It is the only university that doesn’t offer reservations or management quotas to its candidates. VITEEE  The mode of exam for VITEEE is a computer-based test. The questions appearing in VITEEE are easier when compared to BITSAT. There is no negative marking in the exam; this allows students to attempt all the questions. Every year approximately 2 lakh candidates appear for VITEEE. The University offers a total of 5000 seats. There are provisions for reservations in VITEEE.  Exam VITEEE BITSAT Mode of Exam Computer-based Test Computer-based Test Duration 2. 5 Hours 3 Hours Total Questions 125 Questions 150 Questions Type of Questions Multiple Choice Questions Multiple Choice Questions Negative Marking No Yes (- 1) Syllabus Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English, and Aptitude Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English and Logical Reasoning  Try to focus on BITSAT because it is far tougher than VITEEE. The syllabus for the two entrance exams is more or less the same so prepare thoroughly for BITSAT. BITS Pilani is also more popular and prestigious. It offers a better peer group and a less crowded campus than VIT University.Read more

Ques. Which exam is tougher: VITEEE, the JEE Main or the BITSAT?

● Top Answer By Ankita Sarkar on 20 Jan 21

Ans. VITEEE, JEE Main, and BITSAT are conducted for undergraduate engineering courses. Every person has a different opinion on which exam is the toughest, thus, rather than worrying about the exam’s difficulty, focus on your preparation. JEE Main:  It is one of the most competitive exams in India; it is the gateway to prestigious institutes like IITs and NITs.  Every year, over 8 lakhs applicants appear for the exam which makes JEE Main tougher and harder to crack than BITSAT or VITEEE. VITEEE: It is conducted annually by VIT University, Vellore for admissions to engineering courses.  The university registered over 2 lakh candidates for VITEEE which makes the entrance paper less competitive and easier than BITSAT and JEE Main.  Nevertheless, scoring in VITEEE is not easy. It requires dedication and practice. BITSAT:  BITSAT is conducted by BITS Pilani and witnesses over 3 lakh eligible candidates every year for entrance to their undergraduate courses.  It is a tricky exam. Acing BITSAT is all about technique and speed.  If you have a good understanding of all the concepts then you can easily score well in BiTSAT. The difficulty level of BITSAT and JEE Main is on par with one another. Comparison: The table below will give you a brief overview of the three examinations.  Exam VITEEE BITSAT JEE Main Mode of Exam Computer-based Test Computer-based Test Computer-based Test Duration 2. 5 Hours 3 Hours 3 Hours Total Questions 125 Questions 150 Questions 90 Questions Type of Questions Multiple Choice Questions Multiple Choice Questions Multiple Choice Questions and Numerical Aptitude Value Negative Marking No Yes  Yes Syllabus Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English, and Aptitude Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English and Logical Reasoning  Physics, Chemistry, and Maths Difficulty Level- BITSAT = JEE > VITEEE Total Questions- BITSAT > VITEEE > JEE Time- JEE = BITSAT > VITEEE Try not to stress about the level of difficulty of these entrance exams, rather focus on preparing, building a strong foundation.Read more
