CBSE UGC NET 2019 PATTERN & SYLLABUS
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
UGC NET 2019 is a computer-based exam (online) organized by NTA from June 20, 2019 to June 28, 2019 across the nation. The exam will be held to become eligible for the post of ‘Assistant Professor’ or ‘Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)’.
NET comprises two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. The questions will be of objective type with no negative marking. Duration of Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be 1 hour and 2 hours respectively. The exam will be conducted in two shifts (morning and afternoon) for 7 days.

Slight changes have been made in the timings of the exam, the break between Paper 1 and Paper 2 will not be provided. The exam will be held in one session of 3 hours.
Note: NTA has released subject-wise mock tests for all the sessions at ntanet.ac.in.
National Eligibility Test or NET 2019 is a national level exam conducted by NTA on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC). On behalf of UGC, the National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘only for Assistant Professor’ or ‘for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor both’ in Indian Universities and Colleges. Till recently, CBSE conducted UGC NET in 81 subjects at 263 selected cities spread across the country. From December 2018 onwards, UGC NET will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
