CBSE UGC NET 2018 SYLLABUS
NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
CBSE UGC NET July 2018 will be conducted on July 8, 2018. UGC has revised the pattern for NET (National Eligibility Test) after a decade long interval. Also, it is all set to revise the syllabus to reflect what is being taught at different universities and institutions. This year, there will only be two compulsory papers, Paper I will be of general nature while Paper 2 will be subject specific. All the questions in UGC NET 2018 are compulsory, covering entire syllabus (including all electives, without options). In the article below, candidates can take reference of previous year UGC NET Syllabus.
UGC NET determines eligibility for lectureship and Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research in several subjects of Humanities, Social sciences, Computer science and Applications, Electronic science , Forensic science and Environmental sciences .
First (Paper-1) will be of100 Marks with 50 questions. All the questions all are compulsory. Duration of Paper 1 will be 1 Hour. Second (Paper-2) will be of 200 Marks with 100 questions. The duration of the this paper will be of 2 Hours
Paper I is of general nature, intended to assess the teaching / research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
The paper will cover following areas:
Till 2017, candidates were required to obtain following minimum marks separately in Paper I, Paper II and Paper III:
