CSIR UGC NET Result 2017 is going on to be declared on the official website. CSIR UGC NET is conduced twice a year in the month of June and December. The result of June exam is already declared. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) organizes Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2016 Test at various centers all over the country. The test is conducted to find the eligibility of candidates for JRF/Lectureship.

CSIR UGC NET 2017 Qualifying Criteria

A candidate must satisfy the following criteria of CSIR UGC NET 2017 to be eligible for the Qualification of JRF and Lectureship NET:

  • The candidate should be BS (4 years)/B.Pharm., MBBS, Integrated B.S. and MSC with a minimum aggregate of 55%.
  •  Age limit of JRF NET is 28 Years and for LS NET, there is a maximum age limit.

Steps to Download CSIR UGC NET 2017 Results

Candidates can check and download their CSIR UGC NET 2017 from the official website with their Roll Number and Date of Birth. Steps to Check CSIR UGC NET 2017 Result is mentioned below:

  • The candidates need to visit the official website.
  • Click on the Link Results 2017.
  • Page to check the result will open.
  • The candidate has to enter their Roll No, Date of Birth and Captcha Code to check the CSIR UGC NET Result.
  • Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • CSIR UGC NET Result June 2017 will be displayed on the screen.
  • Candidates can check their result and download as well.

CSIR UGC NET 2017 Merit List

The cumulative marks of all parts will be taken into consideration for drawing of CSIR UGC NET 2017 Merit List. Ranks are allotted to all successful candidates qualifying for Junior Research Fellowship. Some important points about the CSIR UGC NET Merit List are given below: -

  • 2 separate merit lists will be published by the Council one for JRF and the other for Lectureship NET.
  • Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the candidates’ performance in the CSIR UGC NET 2017.
  • Candidates who will qualify for JRF (NET) will also be eligible for Lectureship (NET) subject to fulfilling the UGC Eligibility criteria.
  • Candidates who will qualify for Lectureship will be eligible for recruitment as Lecturers as well as for Junior Research Fellowship in a Scheme/Project, if otherwise suitable. However, they will not be eligible for Regular JRF-NET Fellowship.
  • Candidates qualifying for the award of JRF (NET) will receive fellowship either from CSIR or UGC as per their assignment or from the Schemes with which they may find an association.
  • Candidates declared eligible for Junior Research Fellowship under UGC scheme and Lectureship will be governed by UGC rules/regulations in this regard.
  • Fellowship of the Successful candidates will be effective from January 1, 2017, with the validity of 2 years for joining the fellowship under CSIR Scheme.

The CSIR NET Merit List will consist of the following details:

  • Roll No
  • Rank
  • Marks obtained by the candidates
  • Separate list for JRF and Lectureship NET

Some important points to remember regarding the CSIR UGC NET Result are given below: -

  • Candidates can contact Council of Scientific & Industrial Research in case of any concern / query regarding Joint CSIR UGC NET Result 2017.
  • The Council is not responsible for any printing error in the result.
  • No separate letter will be issued. The Fellowship will be effective from January 1, 2017.
  • The result has been confirmed only after addressing all the queries received from the candidates till specified date of July 20, 2016.
  • Successful candidates are requested to send attested/self-attested photocopies of the following documents for verification and issue of Qualifying Certificate:
  • X class certificate as a proof of date of birth
  • Degree/provisional degree of qualifying exam/M.Sc. or equivalent degree
  • Final mark sheet with the required percentage of marks
  • Caste certificate, if applicable.
  • OBC candidates are requested to submit their latest OBC caste certificate (Non-creamy layer)
  • Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped candidates have to submit certificate as per Govt. of India rules.
  • Candidates who have applied under Result Awaited (RA) category (M.Sc. or equivalent) have to submit the required documents only after completion of their requisite qualification.

Note: - Candidates who have applied under Bachelor’s Degree will be eligible for Fellowship only. Candidates are required to send the above-mentioned documents by Registered/Speed Post to Shri Ashish Bahuguna, Section Officer, Certificate Section, HRD Group, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue Road, Pusa, New Delhi – 110012.

The candidates while sending their documents must super scribe on the envelop “Documents for June – 2017 NET Exam” with Roll Number and the slot they have been allotted as CSIR JRF/UGC JRF/LS.

CSIR UGC NET 2017 Cut Off

CSIR UGC NET Cutoff 2017 has been released by CSIR. On the basis of the Cutoff, the candidates will be awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship.

The minimum CSIR UGC NET cut-off percentage for the award of fellowship/lectureship held on December 20, 2015 is given below: -
