CUCET 2021 PATTERN & SYLLABUS
NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
CUCET is a national level examination which is regulated by the central universities. CUCET 2021 paper will be divided into two sections i.e. Part A consists of 25 MCQ questions and Part B consists of 75 MCQ questions. Here we are mentioning the CUCET 2021 Exam Pattern which will help the students to get good marks in the entrance test.

There will be a negative marking in the paper. Each correct answer will carry 1 mark and for each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
For admission into UG/ Integrated Courses, candidates followed the syllabus of Class 12, while for admission into PG Courses and NET/ JRF research programs, respective UG syllabus should be followed.
For Part A of CUCET for UG courses, there will be no definite official syllabus. However, the questions asked from the following areas:

CUCET Syllabus for PG/B.Ed./Integrated M.Sc B.Ed/PG Diploma Programs vary as per the course. CUCET Syllabus for MPhil/PhD programs will be the same as that prescribed for UGC- CSIR or NET-JRF.
Ques. Will the CUCET exam be conducted in a pen and paper test?
Ans. For UG and PG programs, students will have to give the test in offline mode – OMR sheet. For RP programs, candidates will have to give the test in online mode i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT).
Ques. How many sections are there in UG question paper?
Ans. There will be a total of two sections – General Knowledge and Domain Knowledge.
Ques. Will there be negative marking?
Ans. Yes. – 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in UG and PG question papers. There will be no negative marking in RP Programmes.
Ques. Is there options to choose in MSc courses paper?
Ans. In Part B, which is the Domain Knowledge section, four sections will be asked, out of which, the candidate has to attempt any three. Be it PCM or PCB.
Ques. If I mark a wrong answer and mark another part on the OMR sheet, will I get marks?
Ans. No. On marking more than two dots, the candidate will not get any marks for the question.
Ques. What will be the duration of CUCET for the 2021-22 year? Will it be shorter?
Ans. The duration of CUCET will be 2 hours as will be mentioned before.
Ques. How many questions will be asked in BSc courses?
Ans. For all programs and courses, a total of 100 questions will be asked.
Ques. Can I take the question paper after the entrance exam has been conducted?
Ans. Yes. CUCET officials have announced that candidates can take the question booklet and a duplicate of the OMR sheet once the entrance exam has been conducted.
Ques. Will masks and hand sanitizers will be provided at the exam center?
Ans. Yes. Officials will provide masks and hand sanitizers at the exam center. Students are required to remove their own masks and be given three-ply masks.
Ques. Will questions be asked in long answer questions?
Ans. No. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Ques. Will the UG question paper be conducted online for the 2021 year?
Ans. No. For the UG and PG courses, candidates will have to answer on the OMR sheet. For RP courses, the candidates will have to click the answers on the Computer, which is in online mode.
