    Computerized Adaptive Testing in GRE

Computer-delivered GRE is the standard form of testing, the paper-delivered test is very rare and is conducted only in the regions where CBT mode is not possible. GRE is a computer adaptive test, which means that it is a form of computer-based test which adapts to examinee’s ability. This works in the following way:

    • There will be two math sections and two verbal sections.
    • The difficulty  (easy, medium, difficult) evel of the second section for both verbal and math shall be based on candidate’s performance in the first section.
    • If you get most questions right in the first section, you will get a difficult second section and your score range would go high.
    • If you get most questions wrong in the first section, you will get an easier second section and your score range would go low.

      Ashwin George

Hey, I'm currently doing BCA final year. Can you please help me out with the courses & program I can apply internationally.Thank you

      21 Feb, 2018 00:20
      Bhawna Vedwal

Hello Ashwin, Technically, anybody can take the GRE exam. However, the GRE is written by those wanting to pursue a Master’s degree. In the US, they require 16 years of education in order to be eligible for a Master’s i.e. 12 years in school 4 years of undergraduate education. Since a BCA is only 3 years long, you might want to consider doing a diploma course for a year or doing your MCA in India and then applying again abroad. Whatever you do, you need atleast 4 years of undergraduate education. Your GRE scores are valid for five years so you could still take the exam now while figuring out what to do. Keep in mind though that most colleges prefer that the GRE score you apply with be not older than two years.
