    GSEB (Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board) conducts the state level offline test GUJCET(Gujarat Common Entrance Test) for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses in 112 participating institutes. GUJCET 2020 will be conducted on March 31, 2020 in offline mode. Candidates will have to answer a total of 120 questions in the span of 3 hours.

    • According to the current GUJCET exam pattern, 1 mark will be allotted for every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. A candidate can score a maximum of 120 marks in the exam.The paper will be divided into 3 different sections, which will differ according to the requirements of the B.Tech and B.Pharma examination. 
    • There will be 40 multiple choice questions (MCQ) each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects for the B.Pharma exam. The B.Tech Examination will only include topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. GUJCET exam can be attempted in three languages viz. English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
    • GUJCET 2020 will be held in 34 cities. Candidates must select one exam center during the application process and a test centre will be allotted to them on the basis of their preference as well as the availability of slots. Check GUJCET 2020 Exam Cities
    • It is pertinent that applicants carry their Admit Card and a valid Government Approved ID along with them to the exam center on the day of GUJCET 2020. Details regarding the test venue, roll number, candidate’s personal details, father’s name, mother’s name, important instructions, and exam timings will be printed on the admit card.The candidate’s photograph and signature will also be attached on the admit card.     Candidates are required to fill in their desired mode of language during the application process. The exam pattern varies for candidates who are planning to give the B.Tech examination and gain entry into an engineering college and those who are planning to give the B.Pharma examination and gain entry into a pharmacy college. The GUJCET 2020 Exam Pattern Highlights are given in the table: -

    GUJCET 2020 Exam Pattern

    GUJCET 2020 Important Instructions

    The answer is to be recorded in an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet that will be given with the question paper in the examination hall. There are a few guidelines candidates should follow:

    • OMR sheet and question paper will have A, B, C, D type written on it. Candidates are required to fill the OMR sheet details accordingly.
    • Candidates should check whether the pre-printed type of booklet and answer sheet is the same.
    • Candidates are required to circle the correct alternative with a blue or black pen. The circle should be darkened completely.
    • Redoing and darkening two circles or canceling the darkened circles is not allowed. Candidates must darken only ONE circle.

    Here is an example:

    Ans. The candidate is required to darken the alternative ‘D’ in the given circle in the OMR sheet.

    If any changes are made after darkening the circle once, it will not be accepted. The negative marking will be applicable for such answers.

    Ques. Who are eligible for GUJCET? 

    Ans. The following requirements are mandatory to be eligible for GUJCET 2020? 

    • Candidate must be 17 years of age or older. 
    • Indian Nationals and those with an official residency of Gujarat can apply. In cases where the applicant is living in another state but they have proof of Gujarat Domicile, the applicant will be eligible. 
    • They must have passed 10+2  examination from a recognized board and must have obtained a minimum 45%(general category) or 40% for reserved category candidates. 

    Ques. Can I give GUJCET again? 

    Ans. There is no limit on attempts for GUJCET. However, since is only conducted once a year, candidates will have to wait for a whole calendar year to give the exam again. 

    Ques. Can CBSE students give GUJCET 2020? 

    Ans. Yes, CBSE students can give GUJCET 2020 since it is a recognized board. 

    Ques. Is there any negative marking for GUJCET? 

    Ans. Yes, as per the GUJCET 2020 exam pattern, candidates will be penalized 0.25 points for every question that they answer incorrectly. 

    Ques. What is the GUJCET Application Fee? 

    Ans. GUJCET 2020 Application fee is INR 300 and it can be done through any SBI Epay System (credit card/debit card/ net banking) or from any SBI branch of the country.

    Hi Nirbhay, students who belong to Gujarat are only eligible. Those candidates who stay outside Gujarat for certain purposes, but are bonafide residents of Gujarat are also eligible.

    Hi Vivek, this course is not offered in the university. But you may check other Pharmacy Colleges in Gujarat from here.

    Hi Pradeep Patel, It is depend on the college or university. They provide Entrance Exam Merit list on that behalf they provide admission in the colleges to the students. Please check previous year cut off to get an idea of merit list for the top university in Gujrat.
