IAS EXAM 2018 ELIGIBILITY
NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
Candidate applying for IAS Exam must hold a Graduation degree of any University which has been incorporated by Act of Parliament or which is to be declared as a University by UGC. Candidate must be more than 21 years of age and the upper limit for age is 32 years for general candidates, however, there are certain relaxations given by the commission. There are some other criteria and conditions of IAS Exam Eligibility to get recruitment in All India Services which will be explained later in this article.
IAS Exam is a test conducted by the Union Public Services Commission to recruit eligible candidates to All India Services which includes IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS and many other Group A and Group B services. IAS exam is conducted at three stages namely IAS Prelims followed by IAS Mains and Interview.
Final interview for those who successfully clear IAS Mains will be conducted in the month of April/May, 2018. The candidate has to completely satisfy the IAS Exam Eligibility before beginning the IAS 2018 Application Form
IAS Exam sets an eligibility criteria for the candidates who wish to get recruitment in All India Services. Candidate who wishes to sit for IAS exam must hold a degree of any University which has been incorporated by Act of Parliament or which is to be declared as a Deemed University by University Grants Commission or he/she must possess an equivalent qualification for IAS Exam. However, there are several exceptions which may be treated by the commission under following conditions:
There is an age limit set by IAS for candidates who will appear in the IAS 2018. A candidate must have attained 21 years of age but the upper limit of age limit is set on 32 years. Candidate who wishes to seek employment at any post of All India Services have to appear for and clear a physical test which is conducted by the commission as per rules and regulations laid down by Government of India. It is very important to be physically fit for efficient discharge of duties and services. For recruitment in civil services a candidate must also be mentally fit. If the candidate fails to satisfy the requirements of being mentally and bodily fit to discharge duties, he/she will not be appointed.
Seven hospitals have been designated for conducting medical tests of candidates wishing to get employed in civil services post in Delhi. Names for the designated hospitals are:

For candidates with Physical Disability, following hospitals will be conducting medical examination as per their IAS Prelims:
Candidates who will require Appellate Specialized Medical Board for eye conditions will be sent to Guru Nanak Eye Centre, New Delhi for medical examination.
