IBPS PO 2018 Pre-Exam Training: Download Call Letter

IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) organizes a pre-exam training in various public sector banks and other participating organisations. This facility is only available to candidates from Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Minority Communities. 

The IBPS PO Pre Exam Training will be conducted in September 2018. It is organized to acquaint the canidates with the IBPS PO 2018 Exam Pattern, syllabus and to give them a few preparation tips for the exam.

Candidates can download their IBPS PO admit card for Pre-exam training by submitting their Registration No. and Password/DOB.

  2. Click on the link to download call letter (admit card) for PO/MT-VII running on the top of the page.

IBPS PO Pre-Exam Training Advantages

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2018

The Common Written Exam is an online exam, which will be held in two stages. The first round is the Preliminary stage and the next one is the Main exam. IBPS PO Exam Pattern for both stages is discussed below:

IBPS PO – Preliminary 

This is the first exam that a candidate needs to crack to qualify for IBPS PO Main Exam. 

  • Exam Mode: Online 
  • Time Duration: 1 hour (60 minutes)
  • Sections: 3 sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability
  • Question Type: MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions)
  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark each
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for wrong answer

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing IBPS PO Cut off to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.

Note- If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by candidate, there will be no penalty for that question. Those candidates who clear this stage will able to go at next stage i.e. the Main Exam.

IBPS PO – Main Exam

Candidates qualifying the first paper i.e. Prelims will then have to clear this exam. The scores in this exam will contribute in the final selection or final allotment of a candidate. 

  • Exam Mode: Online 
  • Time Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)
  • Sections: 4 + 1 sections: English, Data Analysis & Interpretation, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, and General Awareness. There will also be a descriptive paper
  • Question Type: MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions)
  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark each
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for wrong answer

    Ans. Pre-exam is training is like a free coaching program, organized by IBPS for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Religious Minorities.

    Ans. No, candidates have the option of not going for the pre-exam training.

    Ans. It is not necessary. The notification states that this training is organized only for a limited number of candidates. So applying for it does not guarantee that you will get it.

    Q6) Will I have to pay anything extra for the pre-exam training?

    Ans. No, as stated earlier, this coaching is completely free.

    Q7) Will the expenses for travelling and lodging will also be borne by IBPS?

    Ans. No, only the coaching is free. Other expenses like boarding, travelling, lodging etc. have to be borne by the candidate.

    Ans. No, hard copy through post will not be sent. You will need to download and print the call letter and carry it.

    Q12) I did not apply for the pre-exam training in my form, is there any way to apply for it in the later stages?

    Ans. No, to apply for pre-exam training for IBPS PO, the only way is to mention it in the application form.

    Q13) Can I get the training online?

    Ans. No, the training will be given in physical centers in the cities mentioned earlier. You will not get the training online.

    Q14) Will the pre-exam training be beneficial for me?

    Ans. Candidates will be taught about the important topics, techniques to handle questions and exam pattern. The benefit of it will depend upon how one utilizes the training period.

    Q15) How can I download the call letter for pre-exam training?

    Ans. You need to reach the official website for this, which is www.ibps.in. On the homepage, you will see a notification- ‘Click here to download your pre-exam training call letter for IBPS PO/MT’. After clicking on this, you will need to enter your log in details and call letter will get downloaded.

    Q16) Will I get the option to select the center for pre-exam training?

    Ans. Yes, you will be given the option to select.

    Q17) The center allocated to me does not match with what I filled in the form, why is it so?

    Ans. IBPS tries to give candidates the center preferred by them, but there is no guarantee that the same center will be allotted.

    Q18) I want to change the time and venue of my pre-exam training, can I do that?

    Ans. No, there is no option of changing the time and venue for training.

    Q19) I am not able to download the call letter, what should I do?

    Ans. It might be due to incorrect login credentials, or you might not have been selected. You can contact IBPS for the same.

    Q20) I forgot my password, how can I download the call letter?

    Ans. You password is sent to your registered mobile number and email ID, you can refer to these for your password. However, there is an option for resetting as password as well.
