IBSAT Application Form 2018 is available on the official portal of ICFAI (www.ibsindia.org). Prior to filling the online application, candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria i.e. a Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. IBSAT 2018 is scheduled for December 22 and 23, apply online before December 12.

Points to Remember Before Starting Registration

IBSAT Eligibility

  • Qualifying exam: a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution.
  • Minimum Marks: a minimum of 50% marks or above in English medium.
  • Mandatory: Candidates who did not study in English medium must submit TOEFL/NELT/IELTS score by May 31, 2019.
  • Appearing Candidates: Final year/semester candidates can also apply.

Mandatory Documents/ Credentials

  • A valid and active E-mail ID, Mobile No. and Address.
  • Recent Passport size Photograph. CheckIBSAT Photo Specifications
  • Marksheets of Class X and XII.
  • Marksheets of any other profession qualification having percentage of marks.

How to Fill IBSAT Application Form 2018?

ICFAI provides two modes to register for the examination viz.

OnlineVisiting the official website of IBSAT i.e. ibsindia.org.
OfflineVisiting the IBS Marketing Braches and purchasing the IBSAT Information Bulletin.

The explaination of each mode along with the steps is given below:

New User – Offline

  • Candidates can purchase IBSAT 2018 Bulletin from the designated IBS Branches
  • A voucher will be given to you, you have to scratch it and an application number and password will be issued.
  • Log on to the official website using the login details and change the password as instructed.
  • Once the password is changed, the system will navigate to filling the IBSAT 2018 Application Form.
  • Complete the process by filling in all the details – personal and academic.

New User – Online

  • Visit the ICFAI official website i.e. ibsindia.org
  • Enter a valid postal address, telephone number and email ID.

  • An application number will be generated at the time of registering.
  • Make sure to write it down safely for further processes.

Steps to Register for IBSAT 2018

First-time applicants are required to complete the 4 major steps to register successfully for IBSAT 2018. They are as follows:

Step 1: Profile 

Candidates are required to complete the following fields:

  1. Personal: Name, DOB, Gender, Nationality.
  2. Permanent Address in the format indicated below.
  3. Current Address
  4. Other Details like Email ID, Mobile No. and information related to CAT Coaching.

* Make note that each field must be filled. After completing this step, click ‘Proceed’.

Step 2: Review 

  • In this step, candidates will be asked to review the details provided by them in the form.
  • Recheck the details and in case of any edits, click ‘Back’.
  • If all the information is correct, click ‘Proceed to Payment’ option.

Step 3: Payment

  • Candidates will be redirected to the IFHE Online Payment Site.
  • The IBSAT 2018 Prospectus Fee is INR 1800.

The following screen will appear on the screen:

Enter all the details as required and click ‘Submit’. Finally, the entire filled in form will be displayed on the screen. Using the aquired credentials, you can start filling in the application form.

Guidelines for Filling Individual Items

After registering for IBSAT, candidates can then access the application form by entering the issued Application ID and Password.

Past Academic Record (PAR)

Candidates are required to select the program they are interested in. The eligibility standards for each program is available on IBSAT Official Website and also on the website voucher.

School/Intermediate

  • Board: Enter the name of the board.
  • Year of Passing (YOP): Select the year of passing from the drop down list.
  • Marks (%): Indicate your aggregate marks percentage, rounded off to the nearest digit. The decimals from 0.5 and above have to be rounded off to the next higher number.
  • Example:A percentage of 81.01 to 81.49 should be indicated as 81 and a percentage of 81.50 should be indicated as 82.
  • Medium:Indicate your medium of instruction from the drop down list.

Graduation

  • Title: Select the title from the drop down list. If the title is not available in the drop down list, please select “other”option in the list and enter the title in the space provided.
  • Duration: Select the duration of program in terms of number of years from the drop down list.
  • Year of Passing (YOP): Select the year of passing from the drop down list.
  • If completed: Indicate the year in which you have passed the final year of the examination.
  • If studying: If you are in the final year of the program indicate the likely year of completion of the program.
  • Marks (%): Indicate your aggregate marks percentage, rounded off to the nearest digit.
  • If completed: If you have completed your program, enter the percentage of aggregate marks in the box.
  • If studying: If you are in the final year of the program, enter the percentage of aggregate marks obtained for the years/semesters of the program completed till date. The decimals from 0.5 and above have to be rounded off to the next higher number.
  • Medium: Indicate your medium of instruction from the drop down list.

Graduation Details

  • University Name: Enter the name of the University the college is affiliated to.
  • College: Enter the name of the college.
  • State: Enter the name of the state where the college is located.
  • City: Enter the name of the city where the college is located.

On clicking “Proceed” you will view the complete data you have keyed in. In case you wish to make any changes you have to click the “Back” button else if you wish to proceed with submitting the data you have to click “Submit” button.

Post Graduation/Professional Qualifications: (for PhD Applicants)

  • Title: Select the title from the drop down list. If the title is not available in the drop down list, please select “other”option in the list and provide the title in the space provided.
  • Specialization: Select the specialization from the drop down list.
  • University Name: Enter the name of the University the college is affiliated to.
  • Duration: Select the duration of program in terms of number of years from the drop down list.
  • Year of Passing (YOP): Select the year of passing from the drop down list.
  • Marks (%): Indicate your aggregate marks percentage, rounded off to the nearest digit. The decimals from 0.5 and above have to be rounded off to the next higher number.
  • Medium: Indicate your medium of instruction from the drop down list.
  • Mode of study: Indicate whether you have studied full time, part time or in distance mode.

On clicking “Proceed” you will view the complete data you have keyed in. In case you wish to make any changes you have to click the “Back” button else if you wish to proceed with submitting the data you have to click “Submit” button.

Uploading photograph

  • Scan and upload their recent passport size coloured photograph.
  • The photo size should not exceed 25 KB and should be approximately 140–160 pixels.
  • The photo should be in JPEG or GIF format.

Declaration

  • In this section, you will be required to choose “I Agree” to the declaration statement. This declaration affirms that all the information that you have entered is correct.
  • On clicking “Submit” your data will be saved and you will move on to the final page. On clicking the link “Login”by logging in with your application number and registered password you will move on to the profile page wherein you may view the details entered and may provide Test score.

How to Edit details in IBSAT 2018 Application Form?

  • Application form once submitted cannot be edited or corrected. Candidates should enter the details correctly while filling the application form of IBSAT.
  • Candidates should keep all the details and documents handy to avoid making errors during application.
  • ‘Update’ button is provided at the bottom of application form to move back and make correction in the information entered by the candidates.
  • They are advised to check the data carefully as no edit or change in the information will be allowed after final submission.

IBSAT Marketing Branches

  • This is an offline mode made available for the candidates who are not able to apply online for the examination.

IBSAT Registration 2018 FAQs

Ques: How to apply for the programs of IBS?

Ans: The candidates who wish to pursue MBA/PGPM/PhD program have to appear for IBSAT 2018, scheduled for December 22 – 23, 2018.They can apply with scores from 2017 onwards of GMAT/CAT/ NMAT by GMAC. Ph.D applicants: IBS Alumni/ M.Phil degree holders/candidates qualified in UGC Net are exempted from IBSAT 2018. However, they have to attend the selection process scheduled in March 2019. These candidates have to submit the relevant certificates for verification.

Ques: What is the fee of IBSAT Application?

Ans: For this year, the application fee of IBSAT is INR 1800.

Ques: Will the coordinating body provide any IBSAT Mock Tests?

Ans: Yes. Mock Tests will be provided for the candidates to familiarize with IBSAT 2018 exam pattern. They will be available on ibsindia.org from September 2018 onwards.

Ques: What is the exam pattern of IBSAT Test or it is similar to the CAT or the GMAT?

Ans: IBSAT is an university level aptitude test. The duration of the exam is two hours. The paper is divided into four sections –  Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation. IBSAT paper has 140 questions in total which are multiple choice questions:

Ques: Is IBSAT 2018 Test a common entrance for all programs of IBS?

Ans: Yes. IBSAT is conducted every year for admission to all programs of IBS at 95 Test Centers all over India. It is 2hr computer based test. IBSAT 2018 test is scheduled from December 22-23, 2018.

Ques: How can I calculate my scores in percentage if my Institute offers scores in GPA (Grade Point Averages)?

Ans – In case, the academic institution offers GPA, they must be converted into percentage scores as per the conversion scheme of that institution. If there is no conversion scheme offered by the institute for GPA, the equivalence has to be calculated by dividing obtained Cumulative GPA (CGPA) by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying by 100
