    IMU CET 2020 exam will conducted on January 4, 2020. It will take place in online mode only. Registration has begun from November 15, 2019.The last date to apply is December 10, 2019.

    Candidates should be aware of IMU CET 2020 Exam Pattern in order to perform well in the test. There will be 120 MCQ type questions that would be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, GK, English, and Aptitude. Candidates who want to seek admission in  B.Tech will be tested for their knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, GK, and aptitude whereas candidates aspiring for MBA admissions will be tested for their proficiency in Quantitative, verbal, Data interpretation, and logical reasoning abilities. The total time allotted for both the tests is 3 hours each. No negative marking is applicable in the IMU CET 2020 Exam.

    Exam Pattern 2020 in Detail

    The IMU CET Exam Pattern 2020 is vividly explained below:

    Mode:  IMU CET 2020 will be held in online mode only or Computer Based Mode. Candidates should note that there is no option to give an offline test. Candidates will have to mark answers on the computer screen.

    Exam Duration

    Time allotted for the test is 3 hours. The exam will be held in a single slot, as given below.

    • Between 11 am and 2 pm

    However, IMU reserves the right to change the distribution, types and level of difficulty of the questions asked from time to time.

    Types of Questions

    Questions in the test will be Objective type Multiple Choice questions. For every question, four options will be given out of which only one option will be correct. Candidates have to appear for either of the two groups.

    Syllabus

    The syllabus of IMU CET 2020 exam would be similar to the Class XI and Class XII prescribed syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, GK, English, and aptitude of CBSE/ISE/State Boards.

    Candidates can refer to the books that are prescribed for their Class XI and XII syllabus or can take reference from the books for other national level entrance examinations like JEE Main, JEE Advanced and BITSAT etc. List of some books is also tabled below for your reference.

    For General Knowledge and aptitude portion candidates can follow books Like Lucent General Knowledge and RS Aggarwal Quantitative Aptitude respectively.

    Important Instructions

    It is important to keep certain instructions in mind while appearing for an online test. Candidates can follow the following instructions in the online IMU CET 2020 Exam:

    Login

    • On the allotted computer, candidate’s details (Name, photograph etc.) will be displayed on the screen.
    • At the scheduled time (usually 10 minutes before the exam), candidates have to enter ‘Username’ as instructed in Admit Card.
    • After entering Username and Password click on “Sign In” button.

    Reading Instructions

    • Read instructions carefully as they will provide the entire exam related information.
    • Click on “I am ready to begin” button. The test will start at scheduled time only
    • Timer count starts post clicking the button “I am ready to begin”.

    Test Taking Process

    • Candidates can click on the question number in the Question Palette at the right of the screen to go to that numbered question directly.
    • You have to select any answer out of the four options, by clicking on the circle button in front of the option.
    • To change the already chosen answer, circle button of another option can be clicked. In order to cancel the answer, click on Clear response button.
    • To save your answer, it is necessary to click on the Save & Next button, otherwise it will not be saved.
    • In order to mark the question for review, click on the Mark for Review & Next button. If a question is answered and marked for Review, that answer will be considered in the evaluation.
    • Submit button will not be available till the completion of the exam time. System will automatically submit the test after Exam Closure time.
    • Exam summary will be displayed on the screen with Subject Name, Number of questions answered, not Answered, marked for review, and not visited.
    • Please confirm by clicking ‘Yes’ button

    Timer

    • The countdown timer will start ticking down after you click the button “I am ready to begin”.
    • Candidates can refer to the timer to check the time left in completion of the test.
