With JEE Advanced 2027 expected in May 2027, you have about 6–7 months of preparation time from now (October 2026). Here is how to use this time effectively:
1. Master the Fundamentals First
Start with NCERT textbooks for Class 11 and Class 12. NCERT builds the conceptual base needed before you move to advanced problems. Chemistry especially has a large portion directly from NCERT — particularly inorganic chemistry topics.
2. Solve Previous Year JEE Advanced Papers (2010–2026)
Solving previous year JEE Advanced papers is the most effective strategy. These papers show you the kind of multi-step, application-based questions that appear in JEE Advanced. Aim to solve all papers from 2010 to 2026 — that gives you 17 years of practice material. Analyse your mistakes after each paper.
3. Focus on High-Weightage Topics per Subject
- Physics: Mechanics, Electricity & Magnetism, and Modern Physics carry the most marks historically. Electrostatics and Electromagnetic Induction are consistently high-yield.

If your son scores around 195–210 in JEE Advanced, he may secure an AIR between 500–1500, depending on paper difficulty and category.
