    Bachelor of Architecture or B.Arch is a course offered by IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, School of Planning and Architecture and many other architecture colleges. With NATA being considered as the major examination for admission to B.Arch courses by prominent colleges, JEE Main B.Arch Paper (also known as JEE Main Paper 2) is now being considered as a good screening test for admission to this course.

    This year a number of changes have been introduced in the JEE Main Examination. Those pertaining to B.Arch paper are as follows: 

    For B.Arch Paper:

    1. Mathematics Paper will have 25 questions out of which 20 will be MCQ & 5 will be objective type.

    2. Drawing Paper will have 2 questions instead of 3.

    The JEE Main B.Arch paper is an important entrance exam for admission to Architecture courses of various colleges across India. Since JEE Main is widely perceived to be an examination for admissions in engineering field, JEE Main B.Arch paper does not witness a good strength in terms of appearing candidates. Due to this limited interest, few books are available in the market which are entirely dedicated for JEE Main Paper 2.

    JEE Main Paper-2 is conducted twice a year, but due to the COVID-19 breakout, this year the paper saw a delay. The entrance test is held partially online and partially offline for the drawing part. JEE Main B.Arch paper is conducted for aspiring architecture candidates applying for UG courses.

    The total number of questions asked in JEE Main B.Arch is 77. The paper consists of 3 sections:

    • Part I- Mathematics Test
    • Part-II Aptitude Test

    All parts in JEE Main B.Arch paper have equal weightage. For every correct answer, 4 marks are awarded and for every incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted. However the case is different for the numeric value questions. For every correct answer, 4 marks are awarded but no negative marking is done for an incorrect answer.

    The Aptitude Test will analyse the candidate’s verbal, abstract/conceptual reasoning skills and numerical reasoning. The JEE Main B.Arch section comprises two parts. Candidates can refer to the topics mentioned below for preparing for Aptitude Test.
