    JEE Main April session will now be conducted from July 18-July 23, 2020, confirmed by HRD Ministry during a webinar on May 5, 2020. The National Level Engineering Examination is conducted to provide admissions to NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Institutions.     The date for JEE Main Admit Card release will be notified 15 days prior to the conduct of exam by NTA. JEE Main Form Correction window is active till May 31, 2020. Candidates can also make changes in their exam centre preferences.

    As per NTA’s notice dated May 22, there will be a half an hour variation in the exam timings of the coming session in comparison to the January session. The morning shift for April session will be held from 9.00 AM to 12.00 Noon, and the afternoon shift will be held from 3.00 PM to 6.00 PM.

    JEE Main 2020 Registration and Admit Card 

    April session registration for JEE Main 2020 has been closed. As per the eligibility standards, intermediate graduates with minimum 75% marks will be able to apply for the engineering exam.

    • JEE Main Admit Card can be expected around the 1st week of July.
    • Candidates who registered successfully can download JEE Main Admit Card
    • Visit the official website of NTA i.e. nta.ac.in to download the hall ticket.
    • JEE Main Admit Card can be expected post-May 17, 2020, considering the exam dates have been released.

    • JoSSA will hold JEE Main Counselling for admissions to NITs, IIITs and IITs.
    • Two additional rounds will be conducted by CSAB for the remaining seats in Union Territories, North-Eastern regions, and 17 participating SFTIs.
    • With the postponement of exam, the counselling process will also observe a delay.

    JEE Main 2020 - Exam Day Guidelines

    Candidates must follow the exam day guidelines prescribed by NTA, to avoid any chaos in JEE Main exam centre:

    • You should reach the exam center well in advance to the start of exam.
    • You are requested to visit the exam center location once prior to the exam to avoid the chaos.
    • Candidates should bring all the necessary items which need to be carried to the exam centre.
    • Candidates should not bring any prohibited items along with them at the exam centres
    • Candidates must not  indulge in any unfair means with regard to the exam.
    • You should take your seat immediately on the opening of the examination hall. If you do not report in time you may miss some of the general instructions that may be announced in the examination hall.
    • You would not be allowed to enter the examination hall after the commencement of examination. Login and read all the instructions carefully. 
    • You should show your Admit Card on demand. If you do not possess the Admit Card, you would not be permitted to write the examination. 
    • You shall not leave your seat or Examination room until the full duration of the paper.
    • Pen/ Pencil and blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination Hall/Room. Candidates must write their name and Roll Number at the top of the sheet and must return the sheets and Admit Card to the Invigilator, before leaving the examination Hall/Room.
    • Candidates appearing for Aptitude Test Paper-II must bring their own geometry box set, pencils, erasers and colour pencils or crayons.
    • You are also not allowed to carry any textual material, Calculators, Docu Pen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Electronic watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written materials, bits of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other device, except the Admit Card, identity proof, document as required inside the Examination Hall. If you are found in possession of any of the above items, it will be treated as resorting to unfair means and your current examination will be cancelled, you will be debarred for future examination(s) & the equipment will be seized.

    Guidelines for Scribes for JEE Main

    • The candidates with disability should fill in the type and percentages of disability correctly in the online JEE Main Application Form. Any incorrect information can affect their candidature.
    • Only the candidates, who have 40% or more disability, will be provided Scribe/Reader on the request of the candidate.
    • The candidates will have choice of opting their own scribe/reader or may submit the request to the center superintendent.
    • After the request of the candidate, the centre superintendent will identify the scribe/reader students for the candidate. This is only task of centre superintendent to choose a scribe for the candidate.
    • However, if a candidate requests to meet the scribe before exam, they would be allowed to meet the scribe only a day before the examination to verify whether the scribe is suitable or not.
    • One other provision is that 1 hour (60 minutes) compensatory time will be allowed to the candidates with 40% or more disability irrespective of the fact they are availing the facility of a scribe/reader.

    Ques. When will JEE Main April session be conducted?

    Ans. JEE Main April session dates were announced by MHRD Minister Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal on May 5, 2020 in a webinar. The exam is scheduled for July 18 – 23, 2020. This shall be followed by JEE Advanced 2020 in August. NTA will release the official notice soon. 

    Ques - I have made a mistake in JEE Main application form. Is there any way through which I can correct my mistake?

    Ans - NTA, the exam conducting authority of JEE Main 2020 will reopen the window for application form correction from May 25 to May 31, 2020, for the candidates who have made certain discrepancy while registration. Candidates can also make changes in their exam centre preferences. 

    Apart from this, NTA has provided the facility for image correction. Students can correct their image discrepancy by visiting the official website.(Extended)

    Ques - My image is not clear in the admit card, what do I do?

    Ans - In case a candidate receive an admit card with blur image on the same, they must contact to the exam conducting authority as soon as possible as admit card with blur image is not acceptable at the time of examination.
