      JoSAA Mock Allotment 2020

JoSAA 2020 Mock Allotment is conducted before the actual seat allocation. Mock Allotment helps candidates to know their chances in their desired colleges based on their rank and preference. Post knowing this, candidates can then modify their selected choices of colleges and courses accordingly.

      JoSAA Seat Allotment 2020

After two mock allocations, Final JoSAA Seat Allotment is held in 7 rounds. The registered candidates are allocated seats based on the performance in the qualifying examination (JEE Main or JEE Advanced) and choices filled during registration. Candidates can view the seat allotment result by logging into their account using their application number and password.

However, if a candidate is not satisfied with the seat allotted to him/her they will have the following options to proceed further.

      • FloatingThis option is for those candidates who wish to accept the offered seat but also are looking for a seat in a better/higher preferred college or course.

      • Freezing: If a candidate exercises this option, it will indicate that the candidate has accepted the allotted seat and does not wish to participate in further rounds.

      • Sliding: If this option is used, it will mean that candidates have accepted the allotted seat, however, if admissions are open in a better course in the same institute then he/she will go for upgradation.

Lastly, all the candidates will have to report to their allotted colleges to confirm their admission by paying remaining academic fees.

      What is CSAB?

      07 Apr, 2018 11:48
      S
      Sakshi Garg Expert

Hi Richa, CBSE conducts JEE Main and publishes the All India Rank (AIR). CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) uses these AIR prepared and published by CBSE for seat allocation in Engineering/Architecture courses. The CSAB constitutes of NITs, SPAs, IIITs, GFTIs and other select reputed institutions or deemed universities. On request of Self-Financed Technical Institutes (SFTIs), the Organizing Committee of CSAB resolved to hold a separate counseling for SFTIs to enable aspiring candidates to get the seat in SFTIs through a centralized and transparent procedure of allotment - CSAB SFTI. CSAB NEUT holds counseling only for seats reserved in AICTE approved Institutes in India that are not covered under CSAB for the North Eastern States
