JEECE 2020 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

    JEECE Exam Pattern is defined by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). The exam would be conducted in offline mode. Earlier, the board had notified that exam would be conducted in online mode but due to some unavoidable reasons, the offline exam would be held.

    JEECE 2020 will be conducted in the month of May 2020 in Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, and Ranchi. JEECE Exam Pattern includes the mode of examination, language of question paper, duration of the test, marking scheme and pattern of questions.

    • Only a single paper is held in JEECE for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses.
    • JEECE Paper comprises 3 sections namely, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
    • Mark the answers by darkening the circle in OMR Answer Sheet.
    • Negative marking prevails in JEECE 2020.
    • In case of any ambiguity in the question paper, English version shall be treated as final.

    JEECE Exam Pattern

    JEECE 2020 Marking Scheme 

    Knowing about the marking scheme is a crucial bit of information that helps a candidate in planning the strategy of attempting questions. Details regarding the marking scheme and type of questions of JEECE 2020 are mentioned below.

    • JEECE Question Paper holds 150 question. 50 questions from each subject, Phy, Chem and Mathematics.
    • Objective type questions are asked. Each question has 4 options, of which, only 1 option is correct.
    • One mark is awarded for each right answer whereas 0.25 marks are deducted for the wrong one.
    • No mark is deducted for un-attempted questions.

    Note: OMR Sheets provided to the candidates during the exam are machine gradable sheets. They are highly scrutinized before declaring JEECE Result.

    JEECE question paper shall be based on the common syllabus notified by CBSE for Class 12. Knowledge of syllabus is the first thing a candidate must acquire before starting preparations as; it is like a guiding compass that will guide you through your preparations.

    Instructions for Exam Day

    Candidates should pay attention to the following instructions to avoid any unforeseen circumstances on the day of the exam.

    • Make proper arrangements of things to be carried like Admit card, stationery, Photo ID, etc. beforehand.
    • Visit the exam venue 45 minutes before the scheduled time of the exam.
    • Bubble the OMR sheet as per the instructions are given on the back of the sheet.
    • Do not carry any electronic items like mobile, calculators, etc. with you on exam day.
    • Take your time in reading the instructions on the question paper so as to avoid any mistakes.
    • Be calm and attentive while answering the questions. This would help you in increasing your efficiency and accuracy.
