JEECUP 2019 Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Important Books

JEECUP 2019 will consist of 100 objective type multiple choice questions. The pattern of the exam will vary for all the courses. Each question carries 4 marks for correct answer and I mark is deducted for every incorrect response. No marks are deducted for questions not attempted. Duration of the exam will be 3 hours.

JEECUP Exam is conducted by Joint Entrance Examination Council (Sanyukt Pravesh Pariksha Parishad, U.P.) for admission to the Polytechnics / Institutes affiliated to Board of Technical Education, U.P. JEECUP 2019 is basically a qualifying entrance examination for providing admission to different Diplomas/ITI courses/programs offered at various Polytechnic and ITI institutions in state of Uttar Pradesh..

JEECUP 2019 is scheduled for April 28 2019 (Sunday) in 2 shifts; morning shift from 9.00 am to 12.00 (for Group A) and afternoon shift from 2.30 to 5.30 (for Group B to K). Group A is for Engineering Polytechnic Diploma while Group B consists of several Diploma Courses.

JEECUP 2019 Exam pattern is designed to test the basic knowledge of candidate in the selected subjects (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Agriculture, Biology, Zoology, Botany and Fashion Designing etc.), Reasoning, Analytical Skills, General Intelligence and command over English Language. The subject wise weightage will vary according to the course/program sought by the candidate.

Since topics in JEECUP 2019 are based on UP Board Syllabus for Class 10th & 12th, the textbooks prescribed by the board are primarily recommended for the preparation of exam. Instructions to Fill JEECUP 2019 OMR Sheet

Candidates are advised to go through these instructions carefully before they appear for the exam.

  • Applicant will open the sealed answer sheet only after receiving instructions from the invigilator present in hall..
  • Answer sheet has space to fill applicants’ details. Applicants have to first fill the particulars.
  • JEECUP exam starts exactly at the specified time and this will also be announced by the invigilator.
  • Question paper is of objective type in which 4 options will be provided and candidates need to mark only the correct response.
  • There is only one correct response for each question out of four responses given.
  • Applicants must darken the circles carefully as per the instructions mentioned on the sheet to mark their responses.
  • Invigilator will assess and verify applicant’s identity at the time of exam and will sign on answer sheet after being satisfied. Applicant should produce admit card and identity proof on demand any time during exam.
  • Applicant shall bring own stationary required for examination. No stationary items will be supplied by the JEEC / examination center.
  • The answer sheet contains an attached carbon copy. Applicants should carefully mark on the answer sheet so that impression on carbon copy appears correctly. This carbon copy can be retained by the applicant along with question booklet to take home after JEECUP 2019 for reference.
  • Making any other mark or doing any rough calculations on answer sheet is strictly prohibited.
  • Answer sheet should not be folded and kept it in the same shape as it is given.
  • A light or faintly darkened circle is a wrong method of marking and liable to be rejected by the Optical Scanner. So, the circle should be properly darkened.  
  • Applicant is advised to check that the booklet contains accurate number of questions in sequence and should also match & verify the serial number and series of the Test Booklet with the serial number and series of OMR sheet before answering questions. In case of any discrepancy, applicant should bring it to the notice of invigilator.
  • Appearing candidates will be required to sign on the Attendance Sheet and also will have to make left hand thumb impression at the appropriate place in Attendance Sheet.
  • All the examinees must abide by the Rules and Regulations of the JEEC with regard to their conduct inside the examination hall.  Breaching of rules can lead to debarment of the candidate from the examination.
