The official registration portal carries the instructions for filling the online application form for both ‘New Users’ and ‘Already Registered’ candidates. For this year, KMAT 2019 is scheduled on July 28, 2019 in a pen-paper mode. The exam is a gateway to 10,000 seats available in MBA, PGDM, and MCA programs.

Apply for Karnataka PGECET

Karnataka PGCET is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority. It is a state-level entrance examination organized for admission to full time/part time MBA/MCA/M.Arch/M.Tech/ME, part-time M.Tech and second year of MCA program. Scores of Karnataka PGECET are accepted by private/government/private un-aided colleges in Karnataka.

  • Karnataka PGCET will be conducted in September in offline mode.
  • Questions are multiple choice in nature and medium of the exam is English only.
  • The exam is of 150 minutes duration and the total marks for each paper are 100 marks.

How to Apply for KMAT 2019?

The online registration window for KMAT 2019 is functional now. The application forms can be filled via online mode only. Before proceeding on to the registration process, candidates must keep handy the following details/documents/Information-

  1. Valid Email ID and mobile number
  2. Personal details
  3. Educational qualification details
  4. Scanned copy of Passport Size Photograph (Max. 500 Kb) and Signature (500 kb)

There are two types of applicants namely ‘New Users’ and ‘Already Registered’. The steps for each category is as follows:

Category 1: New Users

  • This is the first step in the registration process.
  • In order to generate unique login credentials, these candidates must enter all the required details.
  • The following screen will appear after clicking the ‘New Candidate’ tab.

  • After filling all the fields, click ‘Submit and Continue’ tab.
  • A new screen (indicated below) will appear.

  • It will have your unique Application No. and Password (DOB).
  • Both of these credentials will be used to login again as an ‘Already Registered’ candidate.

Category 2: Already Registered

  • These are the candidates who have completed the above-mentioned step.
  • After the application no. is issued to them, they have to login again using the credentials issued to access the KMAT online application.

Candidates must scan and upload the required photo and signature as per the prescribed specifications. They are given below:

Instructions for KMAT Photo and Signature

  • Acceptable Format: JPG or JPEG format only
  • The photograph must be a recent passport size looking directly at the camera, in colour preferably, against a white or light background
  • If there is a red-eye effect, please edit to remove it 
  • If you wear glasses, these should not be tinted glasses. Check to make sure that the photograph has no reflections. Your eyes and face should be clearly visible 
  • Wearing of caps, hats or any tinted or dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover the face

Instructions for filling KMAT Application Form 

The details asked during KMAT registration are to be filled in a particular way stated by the authorities conducting the exam. The instructions to fill the fields are as follows:

NOTE: Candidates who want to take up both MBA and the MCA test will have to register for each test separately. Two separate Hall Tickets will be issued in such a case. It is advised to make a photocopy of the application form as proof of acknowledgment.

KMAT Eligibility Criteria

Only candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria stated by the conducting authorities will be allowed to sit for the exam. The eligibility criteria for the exam is as follows:

  • Age: The minimum age of candidates must be 21 years. There is no specific upper age limit to apply for the course.
  • Academic Qualification: The academic qualification varies for different programmes. Candidates should satisfy KMAT 2019 eligibility according to the course they are applying for per the UGC guidelines.

KMAT Eligibility for MCA Program:

  • Minimum Qualification: A candidate must possess a graduate degree i.e. he/ she must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University
  • Minimum Marks: It is necessary to have a minimum of 50% marks. And for SC/ ST category candidates, they should have a minimum of 45% marks
  • Mandatory subject in the qualifying exam: Candidates selecting this program should have Mathematics subject in their Bachelor’s.

KMAT Eligibility for MBA/ PGDM Program:

  • Minimum Qualification: A candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree of 3 years or more​
  • Permissible Streams: Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent.

Ans. All provisionally registered applicants can download their Activation of an examination center based upon the least number of registrations. If there will be any cancellation of a test venue, the applicants will be informed on their registered e-mail address about the allotment of another examination centre. Candidate should paste their passport size photograph on the Admit Card.

Q. Do I have to carry my registration form to the test venue?

Ans. Yes. Along with that, do carry the Admit Card, valid photo ID proof, Black & Blue ballpoint pen; HB Pencils, Eraser, and Sharpener.
