KVPY 2018 ELIGIBILITY

KVPY Eligibility includes age criteria, citizenship and academic criteria for each stream. Candidates can apply for SA stream if they have enrolled to Class XI with science subjects. The candidates who have appeared for Class XII with Science subjects can apply under SX stream. To apply for SB stream, candidates must have enrolled for basic sciences provided that they are a 1st year student.
Only Indian nationals can apply for KVPY 2017 provided they take admission to the B.Sc. programme only in India. The minimum age required to apply for SA stream is 16 years. The lower age limit for SX stream is 17 years. The candidates who apply for SB stream must be 18 years old.

KVPY 2017 provides scholarships to the candidates who wish to enrol in undergraduate courses in Basic Sciences. The candidates who belong to India i.e. only Indian Nationals can apply for the KVPY Exam. The candidates belonging to any other country will not be eligible to apply for KVPY Exam under any circumstances.
The candidates who apply for KVPY will receive the scholarship only if they study in India. The scholarship is invalid in any other country or for courses applied in some other country. The KVPY Scholarship stands invalid for undergraduate programs under Distance Education or Correspondence Courses.
Stream SA students, who are enrolled in XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2017-87, will receive KVPY Scholarship if they fulfil the following KVPY Eligibility Criteria:
Stream SB students, who are enrolled in 1st year of undergraduate program in the year 2017-18, will receive KVPY Scholarship if they fulfil the KVPY Eligibility Criteria given below:
Stream SX students, who are enrolled in XII standard in the year 2017-18, will receive KVPY Scholarship if they fulfil the KVPY Eligibility Criteria listed below:
Candidates who are in the 2nd year of Cambridge International Examination Board and want the KVPY Scholarship must have the following eligibility criteria:
To appear for online aptitude test candidates have to apply through an online application process. The KVPY Application form will be available on the official website from July 18, 2017 to August 30, 2017.
Candidates have to register themselves for the KVPY Exam initially. After that they have to fill their personal and academic details, upload photograph and signature and make the payment of fees to complete the KVPY Application process.
Two KVPY Scholarships are offered to the students who belong to any of the three streams under KVPY: Stream SA, SB and SX. Candidates included in the SA Stream are the ones who apply for the KVPY Exam while pursuing Class XI (with Science Subjects).
The SX Stream comprises candidates who are appearing or have passed Class XII with science subjects in the academic session 2017-2018. SB Stream includes candidates who are pursuing 1st year of the undergraduate program in Basic Sciences during the academic year 2017-2018.

The candidates can apply for undergraduate programs in Basic Sciences through KVPY 2017. The courses included in Basic Sciences are B.Sc. /B.S. /B.Stat. /B.Math. /Int. M.Sc. /M.S. in the following streams:
