    LFAT 2020 is conducted by the University of Allahabad. The paper is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper based test). Though the university is yet to release notification including exam pattern details, an idea of the paper can be taken from previous year papers.

    LFAT 2020 is an objective-questions based exam lasting for 2 hour 30 minutes. It consists of 150 multiple choice questions. The question paper is divided into Language Comprehension, General Awareness and Current Affairs, and Reasoning, Mental Ability and Legal Aptitude.

    LFAT 2020 Exam Pattern in Detail

    LFAT 2020 Exam Pattern in Detail

    University of Allahabad provides the exam pattern for LFAT which is conducted in the month of May every year. The exam is conducted offline i.e. pen and paper mode. Paper will comprise of 250 Objective type questions. 

    • Candidates will be provided with 2 hours and 30 minutes time duration to complete the test
    • Question paper is divided into 3 parts:
    1. Language Comprehension
    2. General Awareness
    3. Reasoning+ Mental Ability+ Legal Aptitude
    • Part 1 and 2 comprises of 100 questions whereas part 3 consists of 50 questions.
    • Negative Marking is done for every answer attempted wrong.
    • There will be a deduction of 1/3rd marks for every wrong answer in Part 1 and 2.
    • 2/3rd marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in Part 3.
    • A candidate can get a score of 300 maximum.

    LFAT 2020 Marking Scheme

    LFAT 2020 Marking scheme for each part is different according to the question type. Here is the marking scheme for LFAT 2020-

    • Part 1 of the question paper comprises of 50 questions and each question is awarded 2 marks.
    • Part 2 i.e. the General Awareness and Current affairs part comprises of 50 questions for which the candidates are awarded 2 marks for every correct answer.
    • Part 3 consists of 50 questions for which they are given 2 marks for every correct answer.
    • Negative marking is done for every wrong answer.

    LFAT 2020 FAQs

    Ques. I have got 176 marks in LFAT exam and I belong to General Category. Will I be able to seek admission?

    Ans. As per the minimum qualifying criteria outlined by the University, a candidate needs to score 30% marks if s/he belongs to General category. For 2019, LFAT cut off was as follows:

    • 182.4- First Round
    • 176.4- Second Round

    Since you have got a score of 176, there are chances you may get admission into the University.

    Ques. How many students appear for LFAT every year? How many seats are there in LFAT 2020?

    Ans. The number of students appearing for LFAT data is not available. However, there are 120 seats for LFAT 2020 with 6 seats reserved under ward quota.

    Ques. When will LFAT 2020 counselling start?

    Ans. As such no counselling date has been announced by the University yet. Keeping in eye previous year dates, we can expect the counselling to be conducted in the month of June, 2020.
