    NATA 2020 Result for Test -2 has been declared on September 18, 2020. The response sheet has also been released along with NATA 2020 Score Card. To check their results, candidates will be required to use their login credentials i.e. Application Number and Password. NATA 2020 Results for  Test-1 has been declared on September 4, 2020

    NATA Qualifying Marks

    As the marks distribution and NATA Exam Pattern are revised for 2020 session, the qualifying marks have been changed as well:

    • 25% marks must be scored in MCQ type Questions (PCM and General Aptitude) which is 18 out of 75.
    • At least 25% marks must be secured in Drawing Questions that is 32 out of 125.
    • Overall qualifying marks (out of 200) will be based on post-exam statistics & at the discretion of the Council. 

    Result Format of NATA 2020

    Final results will be published on the official website and announced on various electronic and print media by Council of Architecture. Marks obtained by the candidate will be displayed in the following format:

    How to Check NATA 2020 Result?

    Candidates will have to follow the easy steps given below to download and check the result of NATA 2020:

    Step 1: Visit the official website of NATA i.e.  

    Step 2: Click on the link for NATA 2020 Result and a new login window will open.

    Step 3: Log in the portal using your credentials i.e. Application No. and Password.

    Step 4: After filling in your credentials enter the captcha code as displayed. 

    Step 5: NATA 2020 result for July session will be displayed on the screen.

    Step 6: Candidates will have to check their marks scored out of 200 in each component.

    Step 7: The merit rank for NATA 2020 along with percentile score will also be displayed for candidates.

    Step 8: Candidates must download their results and take a print out of the same for future reference.

    Note: NATA 2020 Scores will be valid for a period of one Academic Session only that is 2020-2021.

    1. The scorecard of NATA 2020 would contain details regarding the marks scored by candidates in both the papers

    The authorities have released the response sheet for Test-1 along with the declaration of result. Using this candidates can match their answers with the official answer key and calculate their probable scores and chances of getting qualified. Know More

    • It must be noted that Council of Architecture (CoA) will release NATA 2020 answer key only after taking into consideration the challenges received against the provisional answer key.
    • Also, there will be no review available for the drawing test and no provision for post-publication review.
    • Revision of result is not provided by CoA, though candidates can raise a review request by filling an online form and paying the required fee if applicable.

    Normalisation Process in NATA 2020

    As the Architecture Aptitude test is conducted twice a year since 2019, CoA adopts a normalization process. This is done in order to nullify the effects of variability in difficulty level of question papers across multiple shifts.

    This will only be applicable during counselling and admission procedure, which will be conducted by the individual authorities/universities. These guidelines will be based on statistical analysis and the Council’s decision in this regard will be final.

    Note on Interpretation of NATA Result: In case of any dispute pertaining to conduct of exam or result, the legal jurisdiction lies with the CoA. Matters will be dealt by the courts situated in Delhi only. Dispute in the process of admission or course of study is not the responsibility of Council, candidates have to deal with the institute respectively.

    NATA 2020 Merit List

    • Merit list would be prepared based on the performance of the candidates in both the papers.
    • Candidates are required to score a minimum of 25% marks in Part A Drawing Section and Part B- (Mathematics and General aptitude).
    • Apart from that, candidates would also be required to qualify the overall combined cutoff set by the conducting authority in order to get their name in the merit list.
    • In case two or more candidates get the same marks, tie-breaking standards would be applicable to determine the rank of the candidate in the merit list.

    Tie-Breaking Rule in NATA 2020

    COA will publish a unified merit list of candidates. During the process of merit listing, candidates will get a unique rank. In case, two or more candidates score the same marks, the procedure mentioned below will be taken into consideration to break the tie:

    • Candidate with more marks in Mathematics will be considered.
    • If the tie still exists, candidate having less wrong answers in Mathematics will be considered.
    • If the tie still exists, candidate having more marks in Aptitude test will be considered.
    • If the tie still exists, candidate having less wrong answers in Aptitude test will be given preference.
    • If tie still prevails, candidate older in age will be given priority.

    Re-evaluation of NATA 2020 Result

    There is no provision of re-evalutation of NATA 2020 Result. However, aspirants shall get the option to request for re-checking of their response sheet of candidates before announcing the result. It is only available for Part A of the entrance examination. 

    NATA 2020 Cut Off

    NATA 2020 Cutoff (Qualifying Marks)

    1. Candidates are required to score a minimum of 40% of the total marks in order to qualify NATA 2020  (that is 70 0ut of 200 marks).
    2. However, it is to be noted that these 40% qualifying limits will be applicable only if a candidate obtains the minimum 25% qualifying marks in both paper 1 and paper 2.
    3. The official Cut off for NATA 2020 would be announced by the council of architecture once the exam cycle is over.  The cut off would vary based on various factors such as:
    • Number of candidates appeared for NATA exam,
    • The difficulty level of question paper,
    • Number of seats available in different campuses,
    • Candidate’s performance in the exam, and 
    • Last year’s Cutoff trends.

    NATA 2020 Counselling

    In order to take admissions in 5 year B.Arch program offered by various government and private institutions participating in NATA, candidates will be required to apply in the counselling process of the respective institutes. Candidates would be required to pay the registration fees and refundable tuition fees as required by the Institute. After making the application, Candidates would be allowed to lock their choices and preferences.

    • The window for the choice locking will be open once the results of NATA 2020.
    • Those candidates who will be allotted the seats as per their locked choice or those who are satisfied with the allotted choice will have to undertake the document verification process before going for the admission formalities.
    • Candidates should note that their admission will be valid only if they fulfill all the eligibility criteria as mentioned in NATA 2020 official notification.
    • In case of any discrepancy in regard to fulfillment of eligibility criteria, they can be disqualified at any stage of exam or admission process.

    Ques. When NATA 2020 result get declared?

    Ques. For how long NATA Results are valid?

    Ans. NATA Result will be valid only for the academic session 2020-21. Candidates wishing to take admissions to B.Arch through NATA must appear for further admission process during the year in which they appeared for the test.

    Ques. How will the Inter-se-Merit for NATA be determined?

    Ans. In case of a tie between the scores of two candidates, candidates will be given preference (ranked higher) on the basis of following criteria:

    • Higher marks in Mathematics
    • Less incorrect answers in Mathematics
    • Higher score in Aptitude test.
    • Less number of incorrect answers in Aptitude Test.

    Ques. How can we check NATA Results?

    Ans. Candidates can visit NATA’s official website to check the results. The link for results will be available on the home page. Candidates will need to enter registration number and password for logging in and viewing their scorecard.

    Ques. What will be the format for display of results?

    Ans. The results will have following formats:

    • Marks obtained out of 200 and in each section.
    • Merit rank (unique for every candidate- based on tie-breaking rules)
    • Percentile scores based on merit

    Ques. Will the candidates receive hardcopies of the scorecard?

    Ans. No, the scorecards will be available at the official NATA portal. Except for the online result declaration, there is no provision to obtain NATA scorecard.

    Ques. Can I apply for any of the B.Arch institutes on the basis of NATA scores?

    Ans. Yes, candidates can apply to institutes other than the participating institutes on the basis of NATA results. But, there are few colleges which still conduct their own B.Arch entrance test.

    Ques. In case I am not satisfied with my result, can I apply for re-evaluation of my NATA Result?

    Ans. After the final declaration of the results and availability of scorecards, candidates cannot get their results revised. Review of results is only allowed at the time of availability of response sheets.
