    NTA has reopend NEET 2020 form correction window from July 04, 2020. The facility will remain open till July 15, 2020. Candidates who wish to edit NEET 2020 Application form and change their exam centers have another chance to so.

    • With the announcement of reshculeding of NEET 2020 to Septmeber 13, 2020, NTA has released the notice regarding the changes that a candidate can make in his/ her personal datilas and exam city preferences. 
    • Later on July 7, 2020 NTA released new notice stating that candidtaes can also upload new signature and photograph as per the specified requirements. 
    • Candidates will be able to download their NEET 2020 Admit Card 15 days prior to the conduct of exam, as per a recent NTA notice. 

    A number of candidates have been expecting the reopening of NEET Application window. However, Delhi HC has denied a student’s petition for an extension of NEET 2020 Application window considering that any extension in the application window will disrupt the entire schedule of the examination.

    • Age limit and Number of Attempts for NEET 2020: Candidates must have achieved the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2020 to sit for NEET 2020. There is no upper age limit or restrictions on the number of attempts as per NTA.  
    • Medium of Question Paper: Candidates who opt for English will be provided the question paper in English only. Candidates who opt for Hindi/Regional Languages will be provided Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in Hindi/Regional Language and in English.
    • Application Form Correction Window: NEET Form Correction window was open till May 31, 2020. Candidates were also allowed to edit their exam center preferences.

    NTA released the official notification stating the reopening of form correction facility from July 04, 2020. NEET 2020 is now scheduled for September 13, 2020. Successfully registered candidates were able to make the necessary corrections till July 15, 2020 by visiting the official website. Read More

    Candidates should keep in mind while filling up NEET 2020 Application Form that they cannot make changes to the information entered. Thus, they must ensure that they provide accurate/correct information that does not require any deletion/modification. Still, if certain students commit any mistake, NTA provides a one-time facility to rectify errors in the application form.

    Step 1 – Registration

    The first step is to generate your login credentials i.e. NEET Registration Number and Password. This can be down by following these steps -

    • Visit the official website and click on the ‘New Registration’ link.

    • Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Apply Online’. The details to be filled in the application form are as follows –

    Step 2 – Uploading Scanned Images

    • Post successful filling of application form, you will be issued NEET Login credentials. Enter the same and sign in again to complete NEET Application Form.
    • Next step is scanning and uploading Passport size, Post Card size Photo, Signature, Left hand thumb impression and Class X Passing Certificate in the form as per the Guidelines for Uploading of Photo & Sign in NEET Form. A brief about the specifications are as follows:

    Step 3 – Payment of NEET Application Fee

    • After filling the form, candidates have to pay the application fee through UPI App/ Debit card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ E-wallet
    • Service/processing charges per transaction & GST (applicable @18%) to be paid by the candidate.
    • The application fee of NEET 2020 is INR 1500 for General candidates. For General – EWS & OBC candidates, the application fees is INR 1400 and INR 800 for SC/ ST/ PwD and transgender candidates.
    In addition to examination fee, service/processing charges will also be paid by the candidate along with Service Tax, for online fee payment.
    – After final submission of fee, the form cannot be withdrawn. Any claims for refund of application fee will not be entertained.  

    Step 4- Download Confirmation Page

    • If your application status shows ‘Confirmed’, it means your application is accepted by the exam authorities.
    • Take a print out of NEET 2020 Application Form as well as of the confirmation page.

    How to Resize Images Using MS paint for NEET 2020 Application Form?

    Candidates often face the issue of unacceptable image size, they can follow these steps to resize and compress scanned images of their photograph and signature through MS Paint, to the desired specifications mentioned in NEET official notification. 

    1. Click on the “” key and search for paint
    2. Open ‘MS Paint’ in your computer
    3. Press ‘Ctrl+O’ and browse to the scanned images of your photograph/signature.
    4. Now, press ‘Ctrl+W’ to open “Resize and Skew” window

    1. Visit official website and go to candidate log in.
    2. Click on ‘Forgot Password’.
    3. You will be redirected to the password generation page.
    4. Reset your password by generating an OTP or by answering the security question.

    Ques. Can we submit the application form for NEET offline?

    Ans. No. Submission of NEET Application form and payment of Application fee can be done via online mode only. For any kind of assistance regarding the filling, submission of payment of fee, candidates can contact the nearest Common Services Center.

    Ques. What is the age limit for appearing in NEET 2020? How many attempts are allowed?

    Ans. It is mandatory that the candidate has achieved the age of 17 years by December 31, 2020. The upper age limit for NEET has been removed. There are no restrictions on the number of attempts also, a candidate can sit for NEET any number of times if they fulfill the rest of the NEET eligibility criteria. However, the candidature of candidates appearing who are more than 25 years of an age is subject to the orders of Supreme Court. 

    Ques. Is it permissible to change or retrieve the password of NEET application form 2020? How?

    Ans. Yes. It is possible to retrieve the password of NEET. In case a candidate forgets the password, he/she can retrieve the same through the following steps:

    Through OTP (One Time Password) on Registered Mobile Number: Candidates will need to enter their ‘Registration Number’, ‘Candidate’s Name’ and ‘Date of Birth’.

    Answering the Security Questionset while registering: Candidates can also retrieve the password by answering a bunch of security questions.

    Forgot Mobile number and Email ID: In order to retrieve the password through this method, candidates will need to have to enter personal details.

    Ques. Can we attach the photo without name and date printed on it?

    Ans. It is mandatory to have the candidate’s name and date of clicking the picture on the passport-sized photograph. Take multiple copies of the photograph since the same will be required for the Admit Card and throughout the admission process.

    Ques. If a candidate is not appearing for the exam, can the application fee be refunded?

    Ans. No, the Application Fee is non-refundable, irrespective of whether the candidate sits for the exam or not.

    Ques. Are any corrections allowed in the application form?

    Ans. NTA shall open the NEET 2020 Application Form Correction Window in January 2020. Candidates can make the changes within the stipulated time frame. After that, no further change request for the application form will be entertained. 

    Ques. Can OCI candidates appear for NEET 2020 if they don’t have an Aadhar Card?

    Ans. Yes, for such candidates, Passport details will be required instead of Aadhar Card.

    Ques. Do we need to send a hard copy of the Application Form to NTA’s office?

    Ans. No documents must be sent to NTA. The entire application process will be conducted online.

    Ques.  I have failed in one subject but my average is above 50%, Can I apply?

    Ans. No, if you have failed in one subject you cannot apply.

    Ques.  I am an NRI in Dubai and how can I apply for general seat for NRI?

    Ans. NRI candidates are eligible to apply for a general seat. They can also apply for All India Quota. The ID Proof required would be their passport.

    Ques. My name on Aadhaar card is different than that on the 12th mark sheet, will I face a problem for verification or not?

    Ans. For verification, your name should match on both documents. 

    Ques. Are foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates eligible to apply for 15% all India quota seats?

    Ans. Yes, all foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates are eligible to apply for 15% all India quota seats. They will have to show their passport No. as ID Proof.

    Ques. If a candidate has appeared in state as well as institutional level exams three times, but hasn't appeared in AIPMT/NEET even once, will they be eligible to appear for NEET 2020?

    Ans. Yes, if a candidate has never appeared for AIPMT/NEET, then they can avail a maximum of three chances to appear in NEET provided they also fulfil the upper age limit criteria.

    Ques. I live outside India and do not possess an Aadhaar Card, Can I apply for NEET 2020?

    Ans. Candidates outside India may apply using their passport number.

    Ques. I have recently submitted the request for an update in their Aadhaar details due to some error, can I fill my NEET application form with the old Aadhaar number?

    Ans. Yes, you can apply for NEET. While submitting the updating details, the Aadhaar center also issues a 14 digit Aadhaar enrollment ID/UR number printed on the slip. You will be required to enter this new number.

    Hi Jessy, no, soft copy of mark sheets would not be required to be uploaded, only percentage in 10th and 12th will be submitted. Photograph and signature of the candidates are the only documents that would be uploaded.

    Hi Rajendra, reservation policy regarding EWS category was applicable from 2019 itself. However, it is declared that cut off marks for EWS category is 50 percentile which is same as that of general category, thus, modification in the application form is not required. However, these candidates will get benefit at the time of counselling through supporting documents.
