    There are many medical aspirants in India who wish to seek admission in any of the top medical colleges but do not want to appear for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). For such students, doors are open for various other courses for which they can apply. However, there are few criterias which they need to satisfy to be eligible for application.

    1. Candidates should have passed 12th standard with minimum qualifying percentile.

    2. A subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics should be there in class 12th.

    3. Certain universities might conduct an entrance examination for the specified course. Hence, willing candidates will have to appear for the exam.

    Working in a cardiac cath lab, a cardiovascular technologist performs very complex procedures like stent implants, cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators and other tests to diagnose a heart disease. A Cardiovascular technologist may specialize in three areas of practice:

    People of all age groups who have physical, sensory, or cognitive problems are treated by Occupational Therapists. It is a branch of health care that helps people with barriers affecting their emotional, social, and physical needs.

    Every surgical team has a group of perfusionists who play a very vital role. It is the perfusionists who are responsible for running the heart-lung (cardiopulmonary bypass) machine.

    Biotechnologists use biological organisms to create and improve upon products and processes within agriculture, medicine and conservation. They study the genetic, chemical and physical attributes of cells, tissues and organisms, and identify industrial uses for them. Biotechnology is applied in varied fields including development of new medicines and vaccinations, cross-breeding plants and animals to enhance desired characteristics and using bacteria in areas such as food production and waste treatment.

    Can I pursue MBBS without NEET?

    Can I pursue MBBS without NEET?

    To study medical and dental courses offered by MCI recognized Medical Universities in India and abroad, it is mandatory for a student (from India or overseas citizen of India) to qualify NEET. As per the circular issued by MCI, no candidate can seek admission without qualifying NEET.

    However, lakhs of students appear for the examination every year out of which many do not qualify. In NEET 2019, only 797,042candidates could qualify the exam out of a total of 1,410,755. 613,713 candidates who could not qualify NEET were left with no option other than investing another year for NEET preparation. This can at times make students frustrated and depressed. There’s a solution for such students.

    In India, there are few MCI-approved medical universities which offer 5-Year Medical Program for NEET Unqualified Students. These universities take care of the first year of the medical program in India, along with which they offer NEET coaching parallel to the program. Thus, in one year, students can qualify NEET and also complete 1st year of MBBS. With the completion of NEET, these students are admitted to the 4-Year MD Program, which is approved by MCI and equivalent to MBBS.
