NEET 2021 will be conducted in the month of May 2021. The exam will be held in pen-paper mode. Last year the paper was conducted in two phases and the difficulty of both the phases was rated moderate to difficult by test takers.
In the 2020 session, questions from the Phyisis section were from the chapter of Unit, Dimensions, and Errors, Friction, SHM, Waves, Heat and Thermodynamics, Current Electricity, Modern Physics. A detailed subject-wise paper analysis of NEET 2019 is described below:
NEET Physics Section Analysis
- Physics held its tag of being the toughest amongst the three subjects.
- As per the experts and the medical aspirants, questions were tricky and conceptual based.
- The question were complex and required heavy calculations.
NEET Chemistry Section Analysis
- Chemistry was, again, the easy section with some direct questions from NCERT books.
- This was a scoring subject with questions based on simple topics.
- Acamedicians say that this year’s paper was easier than previous years’.
NEET Biology Section Analysis
- As per the experts, this year Biology was not the easiest section as it usually did.
- The questions were descriptive and time consuming.
- The paper was dominated with questions from Microbes in Human Welfare and Cell: the unit of life chapters of Botany and Zoology respectively.
- Most questions required deep knowledge of the concepts and tested students aptitude as well.

A brief about the paper analysis for NEET 2018 are listed below:
NEET Physics Section Analysis
- This section was the toughest amongst the three as per the experts and the medical aspirants.
- The questions were lengthy and conceptual based
- There were 24 questions asked from 12th standard and 21 questions from 11th standard.
- 2 difficult questions, 9 moderate questions and 34 easy questions.
NEET Chemistry Section Analysis
- It was the moderate section amongst the three sections namely Biology and Physics.
- This section was not lengthy.
- There were 20 questions from 12th standard and 20 questions from the 11th standard.
- Most of the questions were based on simple concepts.
NEET Biology Section Analysis
- As per the experts, it was the easiest section.
- There were 46 questions asked from 12th standard syllabus and 44 questions from the 11th standard.
- It had 9 difficult questions, 33 moderate questions and 48 easy questions.
- Most of the questions were directly from NCERT and were concept based.
- Most of the students expect marks ranging from 350 – 400 marks.
Other Facts about NEET 2018:
- A total of 13,26, 725 students registered for NEET of whom 5,80,648 were males and 7,46,076 females and one transgender
- Apart from Hindi and English, the board conducted the examinations in languages like Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.
NEET Paper Analysis 2017
NEET 2017 was regarded as a moderately difficult exam. Last year, physics had tricky questions, while biology was slightly difficult as compared to previous years. In chemistry, inorganic section had more number of questions. Overall, the number of questions was divided equally among all the sections, i.e. 45 questions each (90 for biology).
