The expected topic-wise weightage in NEET Syllabus 2019 has been given in the tables below for each section in detail.
Mechanics and Magnetism have continued to be NEET favorites for a few years now and carry maximum weightage. Therefore, students are advised to keep them on top of their priority list for NEET 2019.
|NEET 2019 Important Chapters||Weightage of Chapters in NEET 2019|
|Dual Nature of Matter & Radiation||7.3%|
|Magnetism & Moving Charges||6.3%|
|Rigid Body Dynamics||5.6%|
|Work, Energy, and Power||5.2%|
|Kinetic Theory & Thermal Properties of Matter||2.0%|
The question paper is based mostly on NCERT concepts but it is moderately helpful because some concepts need a detailed explanation that is not available in them. Here are a few books you can refer to for a better idea of the exam pattern and clear understanding of concepts.

|Organic Chemistry – II||5.6%|
|The d and f Block Elements||4.4%|
|IUPAC & Isomerism||4.0%|
|Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry||3.8%|
|Haloalkanes and Haloarenes||2.2%|
|Chemistry in Everyday Life||1.3%|
|Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids||1.0%|
NCERT should be at your fingertips as almost 30-35 questions are asked from here. Make use of help books for practice papers and sample questions. These are some of the best ones:
|Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry||O.P. Tandon|
|Bull’s Eye Chemistry NEET Edition 2019||Seema Saini and K.S. Saini|
|40 Days Chemistry for NEET||Sudhanshu Thakur|
|Objective Chemistry for NEET Vol. 1&2||R.K. Gupta|
|Organic Chemistry||Morrison and Boyd|
|Important Topics for NEET 2019||NEET 2019 Chapter Wise Weightage|
|Human Physiology Biological Classification Molecular Basis of Inheritance||12.0%|
|Molecular Basis of Inheritance||8.2%|
|Human Health and Diseases||4.3%|
|Biotechnology: Principles and Processes||3.1%|
|Microbes in Human Welfare||2.7%|
|Strategies for Enhancement of Food Production||1.4%|
Students are highly recommended to be thorough with NCERT since that is where most of the questions will be asked from. Almost 70-75 questions of Biology are expected directly from NCERT which is the foundation text. In this section, the only use of reference books is for sample papers and mock tests.
