    • The syllabus of Biology is divided into 2 sections i.e. Botany and Zoology with a total of 5 units each from class XI and XII.
    • In physics, you need to cover a total of 10 and 9 units from class XI and XII respectively. Similarly, in the chemistry section, you need to cover 30 units combined from both classes. Check NEET Exam Pattern
    • A total of 45 questions are asked from Physics and Chemistry each. The weightage of the Biology section is 90 questions.
    • NEET 2020 has been conducted successfully and most of the questions in the paper were asked from NCERT.

A detailed review of all the state board syllabi is taken into consideration to establish uniformity in the nation’s one of the top medical examinations. This article throws light upon NEET Syllabus in detail along with chapter-wise weightage and topic-wise expected questions.

Weightage of Chemistry in NEET 2020

Chemistry is a moderately difficult section in the exam and will be weighed against a maximum of 180 marks.

    • The questions in NEET range from theoretical and reasoning based on practical.
    • Of late, application-based questions are being asked in the exam so students should focus more on them.
    • NEET 2020 is expected to have more questions from class XII syllabus as compared to class XI.
    • Last year there were 24 questions from class XII and 21 from class XI.
    • Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry are extremely important and carry the maximum weightage.

A comprehensive report about the Chemistry section is given below:
