NMAT 2020 Registration, Exam Dates, Fees and Process

    NMAT Registration 2020 is tentatively scheduled for the first week of July, 2020. Candidates will be able to take NMAT 2020 exam three times from October  – December, 2020. After each attempt, candidates can register again to retake the exam in order to increase their score.

    The main notification for the examination will be released in July, 2020 and will be open till October for prospective candidates. NMAT form filling window is functional for 3 months, candidates can register and select a slot anytime during this time period. Nearly 88,000 candidates registered for the exam last year year.

    Are You Eligible to Apply?

    Given below are the eligibility conditions that a candidate must satisfy to appear in NMAT exam:

    • Nationality- Both Indian and NRI candidates can apply
    • Minimum Qualification- 50% marks in Graduation; appearing candidates can also apply
    • Age-  There is no upper age limit for NMAT 2020
    • Work Experience – Work experience requirement is determined by the institute that the candidate applies to. Applicants with work experience are eligible to apply. 

    NOTENMAT Eligibility Criteria may hold separate conditions as per allotted college.

    There are a few particulars and documents that the candidate must possess to make form filling process easier. They are as follows:

    • A laptop or computer
    • Good internet connection
    • Valid Email ID
    • Active mobile no.
    • Basic contact details
    • Recent passport size photo in a prescribed format
    • Marksheets or Degree certificates

    How to Fill NMAT Application Form 2020?

    To fill NMAT 2020 Application Form, candidates must follow the following simple steps:

    Step 1: NMAT Registration

    Fresh candidates applying for the exam are required to register with a fresh email id and contact number at the website using the mentioned steps.

    1. Go to the official website of NMAT i.e. nmat.org.in
    2. Click on “Register Now” tab to register yourself.
    3. Enter the required details such as name, email ID, mobile number, exam country, and captcha code. 
    4. After email id gets registered, log in again to complete the registration process.
    5. When you logged in, you will finally land up on the page where you need to fill all the required details for the registration process.
    6. Enter the required details and press submit.
    7. The system will auto-generate a registration number and mail the same at your registered email id and contact number for documentation and verification.

    Step 2: NMAT Application Form Filling

    This is the step where you actually provide all the details that create your profile for the test. It helps the authorities to judge your eligibility, your medical standards, previous educational qualifications and other important details.

    • Once the registration process gets completed, check your email ID to get the registration number and password.
    • Re-login as a registered user by entering your registered ID and password.
    • Fill all the required information in NMAT application form carefully.
    • Note down the application number.
    • Once the candidate completes the NMAT by GMAC registration, select the slot for the exam in scheduled/rescheduled exam category. 

    Step 3: Uploading Images

    This is the final step in creating a profile for the exam. Photograph and signature should be scanned and uploaded and thus one can get easily identified and thus it makes the process smooth.

    • Upload the scanned images.
    • Select the mode of payment to pay the application fee.
    • Take a print out of application form & keep it safe for further process.
    • Retain the registered email id and mobile number until the admission process gets completed.

    Step 4: Pay NMAT Application Fee

    The registration fee can be remitted via online mode only. The payment forms are as follows:

    After the payment is successfully made, your schedule exam option will be activated on your dashboard. You must schedule your exam as per your preference and availability. Once the payment is realized, you can then download your NMAT Admit Cards from nmat.org.in.

    1. Candidates are required to visit respective university/college/school website for details of their admission procedure. You have to submit their respective form separately.
    2. You will be allowed to take NMAT a maximum of three times during the year’s testing period. This includes the first attempt plus a maximum of two retake attempts.
    3. Up to 5 programs/schools are included in your registration fee. If you wish to apply to more than five (5) programs/schools, a fee of INR 200 plus applicable taxes will be charged for each additional program/school.

    Candidates completing NMAT by GMAC Registration are required to provide the following details. Make sure they are true and up to your best knowledge. Any discrepancy found at later stages will make your candidature liable for rejection.

    NMAT 2020 Scheduling Process

    • Candidates who have paid the registration fee will receive a Username and Password within 24 hours on the registered email id.
    • They can then begin scheduling their preferred time slot, date, and center of examination from the given options.
    • The scheduling for NMAT is done on a first come first serve basis. 
    • Candidates are provided with the option of scheduling one test attempt at a time.
    • Once the scheduling is done, candidates receive a confirmation email from person VUE intimating the details of NMAT by GMAC 2020 exam.

    NMAT Rescheduling

    NMAT Retakes Registration

    • NMAT can be taken a maximum of three times during the year’s testing period.
    • This will include the first attempt plus a maximum of two retakes.
    • The retake registration option will be enabled in your NMAT dashboard after your exam date. 
    • You just need to click on ‘Retake section’ and pay the retake registration fees.
    • There is no need for filling your details again.
    • Once the retake registration and the fee is realised you will be able to schedule your retake exam date.
    • You will have to wait at least 15 calendar days before you can appear for NMAT retake.

    NMAT Reschedule

    • There is an option available to reschedule your appointment if you are not able to appear for the allocated slot.
    • You may reschedule your appointment up to 72 hours prior to your original appointment.
    • The payment for rescheduling can be made using a credit card only.

    I have missed the date to Register for NMAT on 14th Oct,Now I can see that they have opened registration for Retake till 14th Dec.Since I didnt apply in the first attempt is it possible to apply for NMAT now during the registration window of Retake???

    Hi Anwesha, You must send a mail to nmatbygmacsupport@pearson.com, stating the issue and then asking them to cancel the registration process. Also, if the same is not done you may be debarred from the exam system for a year.
