RMAT 2020 (Scrapped) Exam Pattern and Syllabus

    RMAT 2020 has been scrapped by Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. RMAT was a State Level Entrance examination conducted once every year to provide admission to MBA courses exclusively for the domiciles of Rajasthan.

    • Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test was conducted in Offline (Pen and paper based) mode.
    • The test was based on Objective questions only.
    • There were 200 objective based multiple-choice questions for the test.
    • One mark was allotted for each correct answer. No negative marking was applicable while evaluating the test papers.
    • The duration of RMAT was 150 minutes.
    • The medium for appearing in RMAT was English only.
    • RMAT question paper was based on topics such as Data analysis and interpretation, English Language, General Awareness, Mathematical ability and Reasoning and Aptitude.

    Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test i.e. RMAT was a state level entrance examination conducted for those students who wish to get admission into MBA program. The examination was conducted by Rajasthan Technical University.

    RMAT Exam Pattern in Details

    RMAT was being administered by Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. The syllabus for Management Aptitude Test was based on English proficiency, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning and Analysis.

    RMAT aspirants were needed to observe the exam pattern first and then begin to prepare for the exam. Here is an overview of RMAT.

    • Total number of questions: 200
    • Type of questions: Objective based Multiple-choice questions.
    • Duration of exam: 150 minutes
    • Marking Scheme: No Negative marking scheme was being employed while evaluating the answers. Every correct answer was given 1 mark.
    • Total marks: 200
    • Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test Subjects include Data Analysis and interpretation, English Language, General Awareness, Mathematical Ability and Reasoning and Aptitude.
    • Each of the subject carry 40 marks weightage rounding up the total of 200 marks.

    RMAT Marking Scheme

    The Marking Scheme for RMAT is explained in detail below

    • The nature of questions asked in RMAT were Objective based multiple-choice questions.
    • There were four options presented from which only one was the answer to the question asked.
    • The total number of questions were 200 carrying one mark each. There was no negative marking scheme applicable in the evaluation.
    • Every correct answer was being allotted one mark. The duration of the exam was 150 minutes.
    • The time management was a great challenge for the applicants as they had to solve 200 objective questions in 150 minutes.
    • Solving MCQs and giving mock test helped candidates to prepare for time management during the exam.

    RMAT Instructions

    Appearing candidates needed to mark their answers on OMR sheet which was given at the time of examination.

    There were few guidelines for filling OMR sheets that candidates should follow:

    • Applicants had to read and follow the instructions given in the question booklet.
    • Only the OMR sheet had to be handed over to the Invigilator before leaving the exam hall.
    • The answer bubbles had to be filled in appropriately.
    • Rough work had to be done only on the page provided in the question booklet.
    • No negative marking were involved hence Candidates could attempt all the questions.
