SSC JHT Junior Hindi Translator 2018 Exam Pattern, Syllabus and Books

SSC Junior Hindi Translator Paper 1 is successfully concluded on January 13, 2019 and Paper 2 is expected to take place in the month of April/May, 2019. The candidates should be thorough with the exam syllabus as well as the exam pattern. Result of SSC JHT Paper 1 is expected in the month of March. Check here

  • All information of SSC Junior Hindi Translator exam can be checked on the official website – ssc.nic.in.
  • There are two papers in the exam –  Paper 1 is objective type question paper comprising questions on General English and General Hindi. Paper 2 is based on translation and essay.
  • The total marks for each paper is 200, and time duration is 2 hours for both the papers.

SSC JHT 2018 Exam Pattern in Detail

There are three parts of the SSC entrance exam for the post of Junior Hindi Translator.

Paper 1

  • The first part is the Computer Based Test.
  • Part 1 is an objective type multiple choice question paper, comprising 2 subjects: General English and General Hindi.
  • Each section is of 100 marks and time duration is 2 hours.

Paper 2

  • Paper 2 is conventional Type
  • This section consists of translation and essay questions
  • Duration for this section is 2 hours. Marks allotted for this section is 200
  • In translation candidate will be given one Hindi to English and one English to Hindi passage.
  • In essay also candidate has to write essay in Hindi and English.

Interview

  • The third and final phase in the SSC JHT Exam in the interview round.
  • It carries 100 marks.
  • Only candidates qualifying paper 1 and 2 will be invited for Interview round.

SSC Junior Hindi Translator Exam 2018 Marking Scheme

  • SSC Junior Hindi Translator Exam total marks is 200 in each paper.
  • Paper 1 has negative marking as it is an objective type of question paper. For each wrong answer, 0.25 mark is deducted.
  • Paper 2 does not have any negative marking.

        SSC JHT 2018 Important Instructions

        • All detailed instructions on syllabus, exam patterns should be carefully examined at the website http://ssc.nic.in before applying.
        • Mobiles and other electronic gadgets are not allowed in the examination halls.
        • All candidates are advised to reach the examination center half an hour before the commencement of exam.
        • Candidates must carry SSC JHT Admit Card at the exam center.
        • There is negative marking. Hence, candidates should keep this in mind while answering the questions.
        • Canvassing in any form is not entertained.
        • Candidates must write the papers or mark the answers in their own hand.
        • Candidate should write his/her name, Roll Number, Ticket Number, examination name, DOB, Test Form Number correctly, in the relevant places in OMR Answer Sheet.
        • Answer Sheet not bearing candidate’s full information will not be evaluated.
