    Factors Determining TISSNET Eligibility 2020

Tata Institute of Social Sciences has laid out a few factors that will determine if a candidate is eligible to fill TISSNET Application Form or not. They are as follows –

    • ‘Pass Class’ indicated in the Bachelor’s Degree of the candidate would be used for the purpose of determining their eligibility.
    • Candidates in the final year of 3 or 4 years of graduation and have not cleared in all the courses (main, major or substitute) of 1st and 2nd year arenot eligible to apply for TISSNET exam.
    • Candidates with 10+2+2+1 bridge course pattern or any other pattern with 15 years of formal education from a recognized university/ institute are eligible to apply.
    • Only those candidates who will be able to complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor's Degree examinations by June 5, 2020, are eligible to apply to all TISS Courses.
    • If any information provided in the application form is identified as incorrect or misleading, it will result in cancellation of the candidature.
    • If a candidate has failed in the final year exam of their Bachelor’s Degree, he/ she will not be allowed to take part in the entrance exam for admission in programs offered by TISS.
    • Candidates who are provided admissions provisionally but he/ she fails in the final year will not be allowed to continue the program.
    • Candidates will be required to produce all original marksheets and other documents at the time of the interview. However, candidates will be given provisional admission if they fail to do so, provided they submit the marksheets by September 30, 2020. Check TISSNET Selection Process

    What is Pass Class?

Most colleges have Pass/ Fail classes but not all are created equal. Instead of a traditional letter grade based on a numbers system, the student receives a passing grade or a failing grade. Hence, the term simply means a student will be graded and those grades will define if he/ she has cleared the exam or not.
