The Hannover Medical School, the English counterpart for Medizinische Hochschule Hannover (MHH) is the only university in Germany with excellent research achievements and an exclusive medical focus. It is known for its transplantation and stem cell research, regenerative medicine, infection and immune research as well as public health and healthcare systems research. There are other Doctorate programs available too. Campus The School of Medicine is a campus of short distances. Over 30.000 square meters of laboratories have been established in the campus. The clinics, institutes, lecture theaters and research facilities are nearby, well connected. Residence Student hostel facility is provided on the campus. It is not mandatory for a student to stay there. One can stay or later move to rented apartments in the city. There are 16 residence halls of the Studentenwerk. Residence hall provided rooms are well furnished and with high-performance Internet access. They accommodate approximately, 2400 students.
