Technical University Berlin
Theola G. Duran studying at Technical University Berlin
I wanted to take a further step ahead in my career. Therefore, instead of going to Canada or any other country, I went to study in Germany. Without any further adieu, I filled the application form and started the process of my admission well in advance.
My master's program is three semesters long. In the first semester, I was taught the technical, economic, entrepreneurial and legal foundations for management decisions in the energy sector. All my semesters include lectures, tutorials, seminars as well as company visits, presentations, online materials related to practice and extracurricular activities. At the end of the course, I am also required to submit a thesis.
Since the energy market is one of the most fast-paced, decisive and profitable industries and it has to offer a lot of opportunities in the coming future. Thus I decided to pursue this course. To study this course I was required to submit some of the documents. I submitted a motivation letter in English, CV, proof of working experience, and GMAT scores as well.
The tuition fees for the master program amount to 18,000 Euro. And I pay 6,000 Euro per semester. This per semester fee also includes the regular administration fees of 307.54 Euro per semester. The administration fees also include the so-called semester ticket for using the public transport Service in Berlin.
I live in a privately-owned residence. For living there I am paying 1500 Euros. The charges include each and every expense such as food and living expenses. Since the accommodation is very near to the university I hardly use any of the transport to reach here.
I attended an Open house that was conducted on the campus. It had a huge turnout. I also contributed to the event by providing support to the contest committee. Many alumni also made it to the event.
I am selected for the scholarship that is offered by the Schneider Electric department. Since I showed a willingness to learn German and to work in Germany after graduation, thus I was granted it.
Monthly Expense : $500 - $1500
