Visa Process for International Students

The applicants, applying for a short term course, can take up the C-study visa for less than 90 days while applicants, applying for a full-time program, can apply for a D-study visa for more than 90 days.

Process of Visa Application:

  • Apply for study visa online, through the Irish website of Naturalisation and Immigration Services.
  • Provide biometric information
  • Pay a fee of €60 in local currency for a single entry visa or €100 for multiple entry visa.
  • Demonstrate English ability through the IELTS or TOEFL certificates.

Documents required for Visa Application:

  • Letter of acceptance from the university you have applied.
  • English language certificate of IELTS or TOEFL.
  • Receipt for Payment of course fees.
  • Financial proof like a bank statement showing sufficient funds to pay for your fees and living expenses.
  • Private medical; insurance.
  • A commitment letter to leave Ireland after the expiry of the visa.
  • Certificates of all the academic qualifications.
  • Two recent photographs
  • Signed application letter with all the contact details.
  • If there are any gaps in educational history then proper evidence should be provided.
  • Current passport and copies of previous passports.
  • Previous visa refusals.

Postgraduate programs are offered at Diploma, Masters and Doctoral level. Some part-time programs are also offered by the University.

Foreign transcripts should be in the original language as well as certified English translation should also be uploaded.

Once the application form and all the documents are received by the university, they take 5 working days for undergraduate application and more than 5 working days for a postgraduate application to evaluate and come up with the decision.

On getting selected, students will be sent the offer letter via the registered email id. If they accept the offer, then they’ll have to click on the link provided and pay the tuition fees to confirm the seat.
