    8.0 /10

It is a very famous university for the people from where I come from. I have taken the visiting tour of the campus and got to know a little bit about the university and the courses. Thus I readily filled the application form and went ahead with the further processes.

    Course Curriculum :

The course at the University of Malaya is actually great. The course benefited me to gain a practical and conceptual understanding of accounting methods and techniques. It helped me to apply concepts, principles, and techniques in related accounting disciplines while I was working on my projects. I feel the course has been framed to get a good placement opportunity.

    Exams :

I didn't had to take any entrance exams as I am a local resident. Although there were few entry requirements. For me to get admission, I had a grade A in Bahasa Melayu while they required a B grade. Also, they required me to pass in History, Mathematics and English. I had a GPA score of 3.56 in the Matriculation Programme of the Ministry of Education (Malaysia) with a B+ grade in Business Management and A in Mathematics

    Internship :

I managed to do an internship in my uncle's firm. I understood the basics of business management. Also, I worked alongside the managers by knowing from them how to do portfolio rationalization. My uncle paid me an amount of RM10,000 for the internship.

    Placement :

I feel the placements at the University of Malaya are really good. I have seen my seniors getting placed in the top-notch Malaysian firms. Also, the placement coordinators work hand in hand with the students. They conduct mock group discussions and train us on interviews, till we feel confident to face one.

    Events :

The university is well known to hosts conferences and seminars such as International Conference On Communication, International Scientific Forum, and many other events. My university also holds national level seminars and conferences.

    Fees :

I paid a tuition fee of RM 6,467.00. I am not sure about the recreational fee but as a part of the subject, I had to pay a mandatory fee of RM400. Also, my books and supplies cost came under RM1000.

    Scholarship :

I could own up to my expenses because I am from a well-to-do family.

    Faculty :

The professors hold a really good intellect. Some of them have been teaching for the past 20 years. They have keen knowledge about the recent trends and also about the subject.

    Hostel :

I used to commute from my home. Therefore, the only cost that I used to pay for was transportation. The average monthly cost came around RM1000.
