AKTU, Lucknow Prepares to Begin Online Placements this year; Read Detailed Report
APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is set to begin online placement of students this year by uploading more than 3,000 lectures to provide online education to more than three lakh students.
This was stated byAKTUvice-chancellor Vinay Kumar Pathak, who completed five years in the office recently. Pathak said the university has already launched a mobile van for recording lectures of academicians.
The van was donated to the varsity by BJP Rajya Sabha member Sudhanshu Trivedi.
In the COVID era, AKTU, under Pathak, launched the 'Shuddhi Surang' (health tunnel) in addition to developing robotic sanitizers and other sanitizing machines.
During the pandemic, the university facilitated online learning through a learning management system in more than 750 affiliated institutions, said Pathak, who is credited to becoming a university VC in Kota at just 39 years of age.
Under his leadership, AKTU became the first university in the country to develop a Covid-19 diagnostic artificial intelligence tool.
Devices such as Faceshield, 3D ventilator splitter adapter, purifying, portable file sanitizer, currency sanitizer, the multipurpose robot in lockdown have also been developed.
In addition to research and innovation, Pathak said, the university has made a successful effort to raise the social situation and rehabilitate the needy.
Over the last few years, the university has worked with a commitment to ensure quality technical education in the field of positive progress.
The regulation of the service of 72 university employees was a historic decision, Pathak claimed. Teachers also benefited from the Career Advancement Scheme.
The VC further stated that the e-consortium facility, where more than 5,000 international research papers and books are available in one click, will be available at Re 1 per day.
Access to e-resources such as IEEE, Elsevier Science Direct and Springer Nature is also available.
AKTU became the first state university to establish an e-office and to develop rural areas, the university directed all institutions to adopt at least two villages for their socio-economic development.
